Hello blogger friends, I've been working on some cards for friends not to mention Thank You notes for my niece, but the good thing is that I have a few weeks to get those done. I can't remember if I posted this card or not, so if I did, I'm sorry for the repeat, if not, then i hope you enjoy!

A friend bought me this stamp, she called it a Sunflower, however it looks more like a over sized Daisy to me. I used some white puff stuff on the vase and of coursed used my copics. I also used my new sewing thingy that I bought off of HSN. Man, really love that show but it seems like they only have the scrapbooking stuffs on in the middle of the night .....

Well I'm getting ready to start school again, it seems like I have been going forever, but I have to say I do enjoy it. I'm taking three class this semester, I was going to try and go for four classes, but it wouldn't work with my overnight work schedule. Oh well, I'll be busy enough with the three classes.

Well Hope you all are having a fantastic start to the new year, I can't complain, after all were only 10 days in .... this is going to be a great year, I can feel it .... I'm sure there will be a few bumps in the road, but I'm up for the challenge!

Baby Shower Invites

Wow, looky me, two post back to back! LOL, I have been so busy working that I lost time making cards, not to mention I have been very lazy. So I made the following cards for my sister to choose from for her daughter's baby shower. I love this cute little lamb, I think it's just right, I used my nesties and my cricut Sugar and Spice to make the lamb. I think it came out pretty cute.

This little card was the second one I made, I used my Sugar and Spice cricut again and made the little bib and added some bling, I thought this one was cute too ....

The one below was a bit more time consuming, this is the one my sister picked, we did some mass producing ... I cut out all the pieces one day and them my sister stopped by for 7 hours and we put them all together. I used my classic circle Nesties and I think the Sugar and Spice cricut, but I can't be sure. Anywho, we made 30 of them and now I'm going to start working on the Thank You notes so my niece can send them out right away. I have some time, her shower is in a few weeks ....

Christmas Cards

Well i'm a bit late, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Gosh, I can't believe that it's 2012 already, can't be sure what happened to 2011, but I think it was good to me ... hehe, hoping 2012 is even better.

I'm late on posting the cards I sent out this year ... the one below is a very simple card, but cute. I used my nestis and a holly punch and some red and white twine .... I found the little red glittery things at Michales, I loved them so much, I bought all the colors they had ...

This little card is made from a napkin, yes a napkin, I peeled off all the layers until I got to the printed picture and then sprayed some sticky stuffs on white card stock and blam, instant card ... so easy, but the fumes give me a head ache ..... LOL once the napkin dried, I used my nesties and cut out the tree and placed it on green card stock....

Well, a short post today, but thanks for stopping by! I'm working on some Baby shower cards for my niece, she's due next month, i'm so very excited, i'm going to be her Nina ... finally I get to be a Nina (godmother) ....I hope they decide on a name soon, it changes every day but I'm going to call her Emmy :)

Hello blogger friends and happy Saturday, man. I can't believe how time flies and how busy life gets. I haven't posted to my blog for a while ... I'm so embarrassed. well the little card below I made for my little cousin, she turned 2, and is so cute. I used my fav Anya stamp and it was fitting for her as she is a little princess.

I used a white doylie and use my copic sprayer and sprayed it purple. i love that copic sprayer, I think its called an air sprayer or something like that, but I love it ... it's comes in handy. I used it on an embossing template and it worked pretty good, the only thing is that i can't get the color off the template ... hehehe I'm still a work in progress .... SO aside from school, not much is going on. just working a lot of hours and still going to school. My little one, well she's 25, but always my baby, twisted her ankle and now has a stress fracture on her left foot. The kid is a trooper, she went to school and did PE for 3 days before she told me it was bothering her. She has a high pain tolerance ... she once cheered in a national cheer competition on a fractured foot! she is awesome! well it's time to go and get some house work done .... thanks for stopping by!

Morning and Happy Monday! I got up early this morning and started cleaning the house and homework, thank goodness i'm good at multi tasking... hehehe So it was so nice yesterday it was about 78 degrees and we walked around Old Sacramento, this morning I wake up and it's all coudy outside and looks like it's going to rain! I love Anya stamps, they have to be one of my favorite companies aside from Whippersnapper stamps. I love whimsical looking stamps ...

I found this little stamp at one of my favorite stamp stores ... I made this card for a friends daughter, she wasn't feeling well so I stopped by Micky D's and put a gift certificate inside to help her get better. Well short post today, have to finish homework, laundry and have to head to school for a extra credit assignement.

Hello my blogger friends, hope all is well with you all.... I can't believe it's time for Halloween already! Where has this year gone? Man ... this year has flown by for me, how bout you guys? It seems like the older I get, the faster time goes by, this means i better make the most if the time I have ... at the rate time is flying by, I'll be 75 in no time .... hehehehehe just kidding, but time is flying by!

So I made this little card for a friend of mine, she has been so good to me and helped me out in a time of need. hope she likes it ...

So with this being the month of Halloween , I'm excited to make some cards and some little treat things for a few of my friends kids ... I love mailing out things to kids, they seem to get excited to see their name on a package. I usually send my niece and nephew stuff in the mail ... they love it. I've been doing it for years! they have come to expect it now, but are always excited to see what's in the package.

Dog Day Afternoon

Hello - long time no blogging .... ive been so busy and haven't really had much time for anything. My craft room is a huge mess, I keep buying things but haven't got the time to use them. I'm still going to school and working part time. I love my job, but I'm tired .... So i love the card below, I used my cricut, a cuttlebug die cut and i had the little fence. I stamped the little dog and cut him out ...

I added the little bees and i think the card came out pretty good. Now i'm not one for HSN or QVC, but the other night I couldn't sleep and was watching HSN, they had this Easy Sew on special and I have to say that I was suckered in and bought it. I made a card using my new toy and will post it tomorrow ... well it's Sunday and I got called into work, so i'll catch ya later, thanks for stopping by!

Yikes, I can't believe that I have been gone for over a month, I have been busy and trying to get my life back in order since my car accident. Did well in summer school, got A's in all my classes, now starts the Fall classes.

Thanks to those who wished me well and a speedy recovery from my car accident. Well my car got totaled out and that really made me sad. I loved my Fusion! The good news is that GOD is good and my bills are going to be taken care of! I was so worried about that. Man, when Mayhem hits, it's like a big ole bowl of distruction and can turn your life up side down. I'm feeling better, back still hurts now and then, but I guess it will for a while. But the good news is that i'm on the right road, and recovering .... I was blessed to be able to get a car, it's not a Fusion, but a 2007 dodge charger. It's not new, but i like it, it's big and roomy and makes me feel safe. well, i have some creations that I will be posting tomorrow .... thanks for stopping by ... i'm going to try and be a better blogger :)

The Devils Handy Work

So the pics below is the Devils handy work. Life is going good and the devil sent in his wicked soliders to wreak havoc in my life, but he forgot that I'm a child of God and he will see me through anything! Ahem, devil, my heart belongs to God and nothing, and I mean nothing can change that! I will always WIN with God on my side ... GAME OVER!

On Monday night July 18th, I was stopped and getting ready to turn into the parking lot of my job and WHAM, some jackel hit me from the behind. He didn't even hit his breaks.

I have to say that Ford built a excellent car, his car is all bashed in ... What a mess .... Thank goodness I'm ok, have a samll concussion, along with neck and back pain ... but I believe that God and all of heaven was watching over me. the ambulance took me to the hospital and was there for a few hours while they did tests... so now i'm at home resting and taking it easy ... Head still hurts and i get a little dizzy still and my back is killing me, but i'm getting better every day. I continue to pray that the guy who hit me is ok, he was hurt as well.

Hello friends and happy Friday! So much has been going on ... I finally graduated with my Certificate in Human Services, I'll post pics soon. I signed up for summer school (summer school is going to be a bear) classes are 6 weeks, but they cram 18 weeks into the six weeks .... i can do it though.

well enough about me, lets get to the challenge. This weeks challenge was hearts. Now i know i didn't use a lot of hearts, but I love the way the card turned out. I made a card like this once before, but changed a few things.... I liked the way the card looked with only one heart .... Man, the weather is so nice, it was raining here in Northern Cali up until the first week of June and BOOM, the sun came out and summer is here. I think it's going to be in the 80's all week ..... well hope you all enjoy the card and be sure to check out Jen's blog .... she is so talented!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! it's Die Cut Challenge day, be sure to check out jen't blog for all the details ... I'm a mess. I feel like I lost my crafty Mojo and I have been having the worst time trying to add this card to my blog ..... sheesh it's taking forever!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so the pic didn't come out that well, but I used my cricut for the Cupcake cut out and used some Doodlebug paper ... I love doodle bug, they have the best stuff and I love the colors and designs they come up with, there so Whimsical!

Anyways, thank goodness it's Friday, I'm so tired and this time I can't use school as an excuse, i think it's all me this time. well it's a short post today, enjoy your day and this crazy Northern California weather, it's raining one day and sunny the next ..... who knew it would still be raining in June? pure crazyiness.

Gift Bag Friday ; DCC:7

Hello all, well it's Friday and you know what that means, it's DCC:7 Bags. Be sure to go and check out Jen's blog to see all the wonderful creations and for the rules for the challenge! This week the Die Cut Challenge was Bags ... so this is what I came up with, hope you enjoy!

I used my Bags and Tags Cricut die cuts, I used this lovely cotton candy pink bazzill paper and then I ran it through my cuddle bug. I used the Pumpkin folder. I love this little stamp, It's Marci from La La Land crafts.

it's hard to see but I rubbed some pretty pink ink on the pumpkins and some grassy green on the leaves and vines. I used some pink puff for the dots on the handle.

Here's a picture of the back, it's a little better and you can see the pink on the pumpkin and the green on the leaves and vines. I think it came out pretty good of I do say so myself! Well that's all for now, it's finals week so I'm cramming for two classes right now, I hope I continue to do well! This weeks challenge was using a Sentiment. I was inspired to create this little card from my Music class. Most of you know that I'm currently in College and one of the classes i'm taking this semester is Multicultural Music ... Thus the card below ...............

I used my nestie die cuts and some designer musical notes paper, I also used some basic black bazzill cardstock, and some creamy cotton paper. Hello Blogger Friends
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I can't believe that we are almost in May, where has the time gone?? I have been so busy with school and trying to keep up, and looking for another part time job, it's been rough. Jobs are so hard to come by and it seem now a days employers have the upper hand. The other day I was reading a job description and they wanted someone with a BA degree but only wanted to pay $10.50 an hour. REALLY? &10.50 an hour?? with a BA degree? Any who, I'm keeping the faith and know that God will lead me in the right direction.

Well next Friday May 6th, I'll be inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and then on May 25th, I'll graduate with my certificate in Human Services. Yippie! I'm so excited!

Other Big News, I was selected to be a part of the Pieces of Me design team .... yay me! I'm so excited, Big things are happening right before my eyes!

The card below is one that I made a while ago and posted to my blog, this card reminds me of my sweet friend Anna Maria Bell, she's been my good friend for years, like 20 years! Just thought I'd re-post seeing how much I love it.

Friday April 15 = My Birthday

Hi all, it's been a minute since i posted to my blog, but I'm back! yay, so the card below is for my Aunt Ellie, I made it for my dad to give to her. He found this sold picture of her and wanted me to use it. So this is what I came up with. I saw this format one someones blog, but can't remember who's blog it was (Sorry). I'd love to give credit where credit is due!

Anyways, her birthday is Sunday, my parents and Stefani are going to have breakfast with her on Saturday, I can't go because I have to work. She is one of my Favorite Aunts ... (My Aunt Lupe is my other fav). They are my Dad's sisters ... when I was younger, I use to spend all my summers with them, I loved it! it was the best time of my life...I didn't have a care in the world, my only job was to good, have fun and play, play and play.. My dad's mom use to take us to the beach on the weekends, so much fun :)

Nothing like spending time with my family, Aunts, Uncles and my cousins ...Ahhh those were the days :)

So on this card, I used my Happy Birthday cuddle bug embossing folders and then for the picture, I used my NEW nesties .... well, I better go, heading out to celebrate my day! Thanks for stopping by - Until I post again, have a blessed day!

To The Moon!

Hi all ... and Happy Friday! So glad it's Friday, not sure why seeing that I have to work tomorrow, but there's something about Friday's that makes me happy ... :) It's been raining here for the last few days, I love the rain, but that means Stefani and I can't ride our bikes, I only have 6 weeks left to make my goal weight .... eek, but when the summer comes, I'll be complaining it's to hot, so I'll enjoy this cool weather while it's here!

So this is my Space Ian card, I can't take the credit for the design, I seen it somewhere before and remembered it and decided to use it for this lil guy! I really don't care for the back ground, but I was trying to make it look like Ian was in space. I used some black card stock, the moon is hard to see, but I used one of my cuttlebug templates and cut it in a half moon. I used my copics in Ian's hair and some silver H20 on his outfit. Lil Fire Fighter

Morning blogging friends .... first off I would like to day Rest in Peace Elizabeth Taylor! I liked her, she had gumption!

Ok, back to my card... I got this stamp from my friend Jen from Pieces of Me, I love it ... it's so cute. I found it while I was cleaning out my scrapbook room a few weeks ago. it's an amazing thing when you clean, you find so many cool and cute things you forgot you had! LOL.

My daughter loves this stamp too, when she sees Fighter Fighters, she always thinks of our dear friends Jim and his wife CB. Jim was a Captian of one of the Fire Departments where we live ... when they were coming home from calls they received, and if they passed our house, Jim would blow the horn from the fire truck ... Stefani would get so excited. Awww the memories. Jim's retired now, but Stefani always thinks of him when she sees the Fire Trucks .... We've know them for at least 24 years, I work with CB at a baby store and we remained friends, Stefani was 3 months old when I met them ... Just like my dear friends Doug and Darlene ... man I love them! they are fantastic friends ....

Ok, back to the card, I used some copics on him, I also used the blending copic on his boots, to make it look like they are white washed. the paper is one of the things that I found when cleaning my scrapbook room, I found so much paper in this little folder, it was like Christmas ... hehe .... well guess I better go and get some things done. A Rainy Day

Hi all,

well it's raining here in Northern Cali, but I like it. I like being in the house when it's raining and watching movies and eating comfort food ... how about you? the rain is relaxing for me, I can do homework without wanting to be outside.

I'm still trying to write my term paper, but it's so hard and I'm feeling lazt about it, but it's due soon so I need to get on it ... blah!

Well on to my card:

I felt like this little stamp was appropriate seeing it's raining. I used my copics and some christal stuffs to make it shine but it's hard to see it in this picture. I also added some glitter as the rain drops to give it that extra bling. well short post today, I really need to get on that term paper .... ack!

Graduating with Honors

Hi all, looky what I got in the mail yesterday, it's my Phi Theta Kappa stuffs for my graduation, I'll be graduating with Honors in May 2011 ... yay me, I worked so hard for this, I can't believe that I'll be getting my Human Services Certificate in May. I'll still have another year to go to get my degree, but it's been so worth it. I'm super excited!

Well I thought I would share my excitement! hope ya'll have a great weekend! It's going to have a rainy weekend here, but I'm thinking that I'm going to go to Macy's and get me a new outfit ..... thanks for stopping by!

ATC Creation - Encourage

Hi all, well this isn't a very good picture, but it's my ATC creation, my bloggy friend Sarabeth did a ATC challenge and my letter was "E" - therefore I did Encourage. It's not my best work, but it's what I came up with .... I used some bazzill Black card stock but sprayed it with some white Smooch Spritz to give it that iridescent look to it ... I used my H20's to color the circles and then stamped the flowers on them and added some bling and the red ribbon.

Like I said, not my best work, but I think they came out ok .... well short post today, gotta get on that homework and term paper ... I've been researching Crime and prostitution to write about ... gotta get on it seeing it's due soon. I'm such a procrastinator! Happy Saint Patricks Day! I got up this morning and got dressed went to my appointment with the Dean of Solano College and forgot that it was St. Patty's day ... I didn't have any green on, the Dean's admin pointed it that out to me ... I really thought that she was going to pinch me ... LOL she was decked out in Green, in fact many colors of green ...

So I'm hoping that my appointment with the Dean works out, I went to plead my case to be approved for financial aid, he told me to check back next week to see if I was approved. Anyways, school is half over and I'm so happy about that! But then, I'll be taking some summer classes and then it will be time for fall and that means English and math classes! GUH, ACK, BLAH!!!!!

Well on to my little card, It's he cute, I used him last year but I like the colors I used this year. This card almost looks like Fall ... here we are in Spring and I'm making cards with Fall colors .. oh well! Didn't do to much to this card, just used 3 of my copic pens, some ribbon and a flower and brad! easy peezy!

It's a Cupcake Kind Of Day

Hey blogger friends! man this weather has been so crazy, it's nice one day and then it's pouring rain the next. Its been a bit overcast and cloudy today, but no rain so far. I think it rained last night, but that's about it. My Steffers is so ready for the spring and good weather so she can go golfing with my dad.

It's Hump day Wednesday and I'm off today, I have a term paper to write and I'm not sure what I'm going to do it on, but I need to get myself in gear and get it done, it's due April 3rd, and that's not to far away!

I ordered my Honor Stole for my graduation in May, I can't wait ... still looking for another part time job, i need one so bad ... but I guess all in good time.

So I love the stamps that I used, they are from great Impressions ... they are two separate stamps, but fit well together, at least I think so. I used my Prima colored pencils and some gamsol to blend the colors. I also used some gold glitter on the pearls and some clear glitter on the cupcake to make it sparkle, it's hard to see, but it's there....

Morning all and Happy Saturday! I feel like I have so much to do today and so little time ... I didn't sleep good at all last night, I think I got about 4 hours of sleep ... my tummy isn't feeling well and i'm tired, but the day must go on!

So I'm working on some laundry, posting to my blog, I need to make a Thank You card, mow the lawn, do some homework and then get ready for work. I wanted to head to Michael's to get some more Spellbinders, but I'm not sure that I'll have time for that, that might be a trip for tomorrow. So my little card below is more like an Easter Card, it's it cute? I have to say that I like the colors I used, it seems to make the stamps pop!

Me personally, I don't care for Jelly Beans, but I thought the stamp was cute so I got it. Of course I used my copics on the jelly beans and then I added some of that Chrystal stuffs to make then shinny. I did the same thing on the flower, however, I used a bluish brad on the middle of the flower to attach it to the card .... then I used some dew drops and placed then on the ribbon, over all, I think it came out pretty good. I saw a card made like this before, so I scrap lifted it ... hehehehe but I used different colors, so I can't take credit for the actual creation.

Well, I better go and finish up what I started, so much is waiting for me and all I want to do is to go back to bed .... Look out Lowes here I come .... I need to get an attachment so I can edge my lawns! ACK ..... thanks for stopping by and Hope ya'll have a good day!

You Light Up My Life

Hello blogger friends ... wow, three days in a row that I have posted to my blog ... I'm so proud of myself! I've been trying to make an effort to post at least once a week, but I'm on a roll. Thanks for stopping by!

For some reason this little stamp caught my eye, it's like an old fashion lamp or something. I stamped the image and then stamped it again on the printed paper so it looks like it has a lamp shade ... pretty clever huh? well I can't take the credit, I saw that done before with another stamp and thought it would look cute if I did it here too. I used some pastel paper, I so partial to pastel colors ... it's so girly. well a short post today, gotta hit the books and get ready for work! thanks again for stopping by ....

Hello Spring

Wow, look at me, two post this week.... hehe
I picked up this stamp at one of my favorite little stamp stores ... I love it. I used my spellbinders on this one too, my new ones that you very much!

I stamped the image and them embossed it, I love embossing stamps, it helps when I'm coloring, it doesn't bleed. once I colored the image, I added some glitter to the top of the umbrella. I thought it added a little something to make it pop. I also used the glitter on the Tulips too ...

I added the little Happy Spring, that was from another stamp, I just cut it out and added it to the card. I love spring, but had turning the clock up, I never seem to catch up on sleep, but turning the clock means we are heading into Spring and then Summer <<< ugh! I hate the heat unless I'm in the pool. OMGoodness, I can't believe that it's been 5 weeks since I have posted to my blog. But I'm back, I'm going to try and post something at least once a week. I would like to post several times a week, but right now is so crazy. School is really kicking my bootay! But it's going well, I can't wait to graduate in May, I'm still on track to graduate with honors, well I'll still have another year to go, and then on to my BA, but at least I have a plan right??

So I used my Fluffy stamp for this card, I think he's so cute, I used my Shimmer paint on Fluffy and colored the flowers with my copics. I also used some purple jewels in the middle of the flower, i wanted to give it some bling! I also used my little flower punches for the flowers and used some diamond bling in the middle of them too ...

I used my new spellbinders as the die cut out, the Michael's in Woodland is carrying spellbinders, I got 6 of them last week, they let me use the 50% off coupon so I got them for $13.00, I bought one, had my Steffers buy one and then my Momma, I went back the next day and we did it all over again... yay! Well I gotta go and get ready for a PTK meeting! thanks for stopping by!

Hi all .... Just thought I would pop in real fast and share this card with ya'll, she's my new Valentines Day stamp. Not sure you can see it, but I used some glitter on her wings, it's really cute in person. I also used some smoochs on the flower basket and some crystal shinny stuffs on her dress. I used my Copics but can't remember the colors. I really need to get it together and write down what I'm using as I'm creating my cards. So may of my blogging buddies are so good about that, I guess I'm lazy ....

I've been so busy that crafty stuffs exploded in my scrapbook room, I really need to get it organized. Once again I'm way to lazy. Perhaps I need to call my niece in law to help, she's a good cleaner. I've been so busy with school and work, that when I have free time I don't feel like doing anything ... that's when I have free time....

Well, in other news, I'm 30 pounds away from my goal weight, once I reach my goal weight, I would have lost 145 pounds ...

I'm hoping to lose the last 30 pounds by April, my birthday! Go Toni, Go Toni .... woot, I can do it ...... I'll share pics when I've lost all my weight, I really hate taking pictures ...

Stefani and I watched Dinner for Schmucks, OMGoodness, it was so funny! Steve Carall is so funny! hehehe I think I'm going to buy that movie!

Just thought I would do a quick post, i'm getting ready to go to work .... I love the sound of that ... work! The card below was made at my favorite stamp store, actually my daughter Stefani made it while I was shoping. She had some help from one of the ladies, but Stefani did most of it herself. I think it came out pretty good!

My Steffers enjoys making cards at the stamp store, but isn't really interested in it at home. Oh well, her thing is puzzles. Well like I said, it's a short post, gotta head out! think i might head to Michaels tomorrow seeing that i'm off. Oh yeah, i've got homework to do too ... that comes first, then Michaels.... Birthday Princess

Hi all and Happy Monday - well happy Martin Luther King Day! Today is my Stefani's favorite day! she loves MLK, we usually have a really good dinner (tonight was pot roast) and cake and celebrate his life. So in between doing homework, cleaning the house and running some errands, I was able to create this little card.

I have been working so much that I haven't had much time for anything. I was suppose to meet up with some of my girlfriends this past week and have some lunch, but things didn't work out. I use to work with them and now that we don't see each other everyday, it's hard to plan out a time to meet. I miss them like crazy though. Us girls some good times.

I was suppose to meet up with another friend today, but that didn't work out either, just as well that we didn't meet up today, I already have so much homework ... I have 3 classed this semester ... eek, I hope I didn't bit off more than I can chew!

So I call this little card the Blue Princess, isn't she cute?? I used my copics and some of that crystal stuffs to make her shine .... I used some glitter on the wings and some Smoochs on the stars and shoes. well time to go and finish the laundry, hope you all are having a great Monday! Ta Ta for now!

Hello all .... it's this little stamp so cute? I love it, I tend to flock to the really whimsical stamps ...
I used this stamp for a few Thank You notes and get well notes I needed to
get out. Its hard to see but I used some crystel stuffs on her to make her shinny. I swear that I'm no good at taking pictures, the card looks really good in person.

Well the new year has begun and is going well, still haning on to the words that everyone has told me, God will provide...... he's an awesome God so I know that he will never let me fall!

I have one other Christmas card that I made and never posted, I'll try and post it tomorrow ... School nis starting next week and I have to get my books, they are so expensive ... Hello Friends and Merry Christmas ..... This has been on long and rough year, but I'm happy say that without my faith, I probably wouldn't have made it through... God is Good and I have to keep reminding myself that ... Even though things are not happening as fast as I want or need them too, they will happen in Gods time ... I would like to Thank all of my friends for their support and kindness and encouragement, it means the world to me.....

I made several cards this year, the one above was the pretty easy, I used my cuttle bug and weaved the wreath. I added some little beads and ta da .... we have a Christmas Card! Hope you enjoy it!

This card was a bit more time consuming, it's a door, I added some red ink around the panels and some glitter. I also added a wreath and a little sign on the door handle. I think this one came out pretty cute!

This one was so easy, the hardest part was the weaving of the wreath .... I added some red dots and a red bow and like magic, wah la, the card is complete! Well short post today, I have lots of things to do, laundry, cleaning the house, donate some old clothes and clean the gutters out ... eek, not looking forward to that one! hehehehehe

Hello Blogging friends .... I've been gone for a bit, but i'm back .... I'm coming down to the wire with school and feeling pretty good. I'm already registered for next semester and i'm taking 3 classes ... eek, i'm nervous but i'm sure i'll do fine. It's been cold and raining here and i love it. I made this little guy with a special person in mind, it's my friend Doug's birthday today (Happy Birthday Doug), he and his wife Darlene are so special to me ... I love them so much.. I have known them forever, in fact one of their daughter's Dee use to babysit my daughter Stefani ... I'm so blessed that we stayed in tough all these years. I love them dearly!

I used my copics on this little guy, I used my smoochs on the frog in the pocket, but it didn't come out the way I wanted it too, but i'm a work in progress ... hehehe I guess it was a trial in error. well, I guess I should go and work on my Christmas cards ... thanks for stopping by!

Ahem, look what I got in the mail today .... Yep, it's my certificate that announces that i'm offically a Phi Theta Kappa! I'm so excited .... well short post today, I've running om 2 hours of sleep, I've been up for almost 31 hours. I did a 14 hour shift yesterday/last night and then we (my Momma and Stefani and I) went to the Harvest Festival in Sacramento, it was fun, but I'm so tired. After we left Sac, we went to go and eat ... anywho, I'm headed to bed ... night all, just wanted to share...

sorry that I haven't been a good blogging buddy, I have been so busy with school and interning it's been crazy. The good thing is that I got the on call position with the place that I'm interning at, the bad thing is that my unemployment is running out and the republicans blocked the extension so that means on Nov 30, if they don't pass another extension, 2.2 million people will lose their benefits (including me) ... eek ....

I have been so stressed that I haven't been sleeping well, not to mention that I have been working 12, 14 and 16 hour shift for my orentation ... I'm so tired ... but very thankful that i'm working even though it's only on call .... I feel like i'm going to be blessed any minute so I can keep my house. Well it's Friday and I'm getting ready to leave for another 12 hour shift .... thanks for stopping by and I'll post something soon!

A Geisha Kinda Day

Happy Wednesday all and thanks for stopping buy! I've been trying to get back into my crafty self lately and it seems to be working. I've been in my craft room creating all kinds of things, some creations are so cute and then some don't turn out the way I planned, it's like I couldn't relay my thoughts from my head to actually creating something. Does that every happen to anyone else??

My friends Gma is doing better, she was moved from ICU to a room with other patients which is a good sign, this means that she is responding to therapy and speech therapy... Thanks to all who prayed for her.

On to my little creation! This is my little Geisha Anya, I just love her. I used my copics on her and some of that glossy stuffs to help her shine!

I stamped to images of her, one to color and the other was to cut out the flower in her hair to give her that 3D image. I used my grey copics and then got my white gel pin and made a few wisps to give her that aged look. Well at least that's what I was trying to do. It's kind of hard to see, but I used some glitter gel on the designer paper to help that pop out .... Well I'm off for now, Stefani and I are going to make some cookies for my Dad .... An Apple A Day

Hi all, thanks for stopping by. Today was a funky kind of day, you see it's been 5 years today that my Nana passed, so i was kind of in a funny mood. I know to some it may be silly that I still morn her death, but I would give anything to have her here with me. She was a strong yet caring (in her own way) person. I remember when I would drive to go and see her, she was always in her room watching TV. I knew it would be a good day when she opened this "One" special drawer! Man that drawer always had good stuffs in it, candy, cards, note pads, little bottles of soda etc ... as old as I am, I would still get excited when she would bend down to open that drawer. Man I miss that!

Then today, a friend called me and told me that his grandmother had a stroke and isn't doing to well, although she is responding to speech therapy. I wanted to cry when he was telling me this, but i held it together and just listened to him. Ok, enough of the sad sappy stuffs, I made the little card today, I thinks it's so cute!

This is my little Anya Teacher stamp, I used several different colors on her, I used my copics and some designer paper I got from one of my fav scrapbook stores .... I also used some red smoochs to color the apple, kind of gives it the glossy look. Well I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks again for stopping by!

Wow, I can't believe that it's already November, where has the time gone? This means I have been out of a job for almost 2 years ... what the heck, I never thought I would be out of a job for TWO years... but I know that God has something in store for me, it's just not the right time yet, but I hope he beings me something fast, time and money is running out! eek! I colored her with my Prima color pencils and used some gamsol to blend it in, I was looking for my Disney paper, but couldn't find it, that means I need to clean out my scrapbook room, I know I have tons of Disney paper ...

Hi all and Happy Wednesday! the weather is awesome, it's nice and cool and I have meatloaf in the oven and getting ready to make some chocolate cupcakes .... I love this weather. Anyways, I made this little card the other night when I couldn't sleep, it's not the best, but I think it's cute. I used my Stella (Anya stamp) and added the little scooter. I got the scooter stamp at Michaels for a dollar! Awesome ... right? I also used some flower ribbon that I got from Joann's fabric store. Hope ya'll enjoy!

The pic below is my little Steffers well I guess she's not that little, she's going to be 25 in April. Man, I can't believe that, 25 ... where has the time gone?? She doesn't look 25 though, any who, she's still my baby! We where at Mainely Stamping, out fav stampin store ... Stefani love to go and do the make and takes. My Steffers isn't really into making cards, but she does enjoy going and doing the make and takes.

Think Pink

Well it's that time of the year ... but really we should Think Pink all year long. I lost my beloved Nana in 2005 to this ugly disease, it makes me so sad, in this day and age we should have some kind of cure. So many women (and some men) fall to Breast Cancer and it devastates the family left behind!

It took me a few days to complete this card, call me sappy, but it was very emotional for me, I love and miss my Nana everyday .... so with this, I proudly walk in memory of my Nana!

I believe that one day there will be a cure, unfortunately it came to late for my Nana, but someday the cure will save someone else's Nana, mother, daughter, cousin. niece etc...... so lets Think Pink all year long .............. Thanks for stoping by

Fall is Here

Hi all .... didn't craft anything yesterday, I wasn't feeling to good. My blood sugar was high and my kidneys were bothering me. I haven't felt like that in a while. I get really shaky and feel like i can't stand not to mention my back hurts .... I have been doing really good then one day last week I forgot to take my meds and BOOM, I really paid for it .... one day of missing meds leads to days of not feeling good.

So I rested and napped all day until I had study group, I wasn't going to go, but my friends made it easy for me ....... anyways, enough about me, back to my card .... :)

So this little stamp is from Great Impressions and I love her, isn't she cute?? I used my H20's to color her in and then I used some Orange glitter from doodlebug, I love doodlebug products ... they are my fav :)

Then I used my pumpkin cuddlebug and then once again, I used some orange ink and dabbed it on the pumpkins and then I used some green ink for the leaves .... well you know me, it's homework time and then off to resting, I don't want to do to much to fast, I need to get better .... thanks for stopping by!

Hi all and Happy Wednesday! it's a beautiful day here in Northern Cali, my Dad came and got my Steffers this morning for some golf, they had a good time, then they went to Costco and got some stuffs too ... it makes me so happy that Stefani and my Dad are having fun with Golf. I think my dad is going to take her out several times a week, that's good for the both of them.

Well the card below is my creation for today, yes I'm sure you guys are getting tired of seeing Sleepy Marci, but I just love her. I used some paper that I got from Michael's (on sale) and some light purple cards stock, I'm not sure if it's bazzill or not ... it could be something that I picked up from Joanna's, they were having a moonlight madness sale, paper was 5 for a $1.00, good deal. I picked up some other things too, most everything was either 40, 50 or 60% off .... Needless to say, I got some great deals.

I used my copics on her and put some bling in the middle of some of the flowers. I just found those long lost blings, they were hiding from me for a while, I was looking for something else and found the bling, what does that mean?? I have way to much stuff and really have no business buying anything else for a while... at least that's what my friend Anthony says .... I should use up some of my inventory before I go out and buy more ...hehehehe I say Pea-shaw, I'm a cardstock hoarder, I can't not go into a store and not buy any cardstock ..... oh well - well its Wednesday and that means I have to get ready to go and intern ... hope ya'll enjoyed the card, if you like my little Marci, be sure to go and check out La La Land Crafts ...

Cows, Cakes and Birthdays

HI all and Happy Monday, man the weather is awesome right now, we welcomed the rain yesterday and it was awesome. I love the rain, i'm so ready for it to be here. I took my Momma around to run her errands, but then Stefani and I came home and relaxed. I was going to rent some movies, but got to lazy.

So i did some scrapbooking and it felt great. I made the card below, the stamp is from La La Land Crafts, it's she cute??

I used pink colors, Pink is my Stefani's fav color ... I used my copics to color her in and then used my nesties die cuts. I think it came out pretty good, I also used some glitter for the ruffles on her dress....

I interned tonight and it went pretty good, I really enjoy myself, I love working with the clients, I should be graduation in May with my certificate, finally! it felt like it was taking forever. I should graduate in 2012 with my AA, well that's if I don't transfer first. I'm hoping to skip the AA and go straight for the BA, but we'll see ... well gonna be a short post today, I have to get up early tomorrow, gotta drive my daddy around so he can run his errands. Hola, well it's Monday and the day is going well, Stefani is playing the Wii, I finished all my homework for this week and I was able to play in my craft room! It's a great day!

So a friend of mine asked me if I could make some invitations for her daughters slumber party, of course I said yes .... her daughters favorite colors are purple and yellow, so this is what I came up with!

I used my nesties for the oval shapes, and of course I used my La La Land Marcie stamp. I also used some designer paper that was perfect seeing it's yellow and purple. I thought I had a stamp that said "you're invited", but if I have one, it's hiding from me, so I made a computer generated one ... I used an oval shape punch for that. Oh and I used my copics to help Marcie come to life ....

Above is the inside of the card, I used my cuttlebug for this, this is the same template that I used when I made Stefani's 21st surprise birthday announcements .... well it's time for lunch and if my Steffers doesn't eat right at 12:30, she thinks she's starving, which is NEVER the case .... hehehehe

We watched "The Blind Side" Letters From Juliet, The Jones' and I watched 30 Days from night ....

Welcome Fall

Hi all, it's Hump day Wednesday and the weather is beautiful! I'm so loving it. So I feel like I lost my crafting Mojo, I have lots of little projects that I'm working on but I'm stuck. Like my little card below, I got this great idea and used my pumpkin cuttlebug template, I took some dusty pink ink and dabbed it over the pumpkins, then I took some forest green ink and did the same thing over the vines. Then, BOOM gone, my mojo ... wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my Marci image (from LaLa Crafts) ... so I just put her together with a card that I started. It didn't come out the way I wanted her too, but I guess I'm still a crafter in progress .... hehehehehe. I do like the coloring I did though, I love my copics.

So I used my Marci stamp again, but this time I placed her on a little treat box, I have a great niece and nephew that I'm going to send them too, they love getting mail from me... I'm going to send my great nephew Noah the Frankie one I did last week ... well short post today, I have more treat baskets to make and I need to finish up a project that I'm doing for a school friend. She makes some great cakes, cupcakes and cookies, so I'm using my cricut to make her cupcakes holders.

Well, seeing it's Wednesday, I have to intern tonight, so I'll be up late making cards and treat boxes ... but I should really be working on my midterm.... yeah, no, that can wait, I have some crafting to do ... hehehehe ... well Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my stuffs! Luka the Pirate

Hi all and happy Sunday! Whoo, it really cooled down today and i'm loving it. It's a cool 79 degrees with a little breeze ... yippie! I do believe that Fall is finally here ....

So today was a lazy kind of day, my daughter Stefani watched TV and played her games, while I made a few cards and cleaned the house and finished up laundry. Ok, so I didn't have much of a lazy day, but it felt like it, no pressure today .... It was a good day!

So this is Luka, he's another La La Land Crafts stamp and I'm loving him, I made a card like this using another little pirate, so I thought I would do it again to introduce little Luka! This time I used my Prima color pencils and gamsol to blend my coloring. I think it turned out pretty good.

I used some light peach bazzill cardstock and then I got three different colors of brown ink along with some white ink and sponged it across the cardstock to give it that old wooden board look .... then I took a black marker to give the plank look. I saw this look on another blog ... I can't remember whose blog I saw it on, It was so long ago .... well the weekend is ending and I still have to help Stefani with her homework, so Ta Ta for now, see ya tomorrow and thanks for stopping by!

Hi All, I'm a bit late adding this, but Happy World Card Making Day! I made this little card, it's she cute?? Her name is Marci, she's from La La Land Crafts. I used my copics on her and some of that crystal stuffs, it makes the cards look pretty cool and shinny. La La land Crafts has lots of new stamps and I'm in love with them. Hope you all enjoy her! So the card below was made by my lovely daughter Stefani, we stopped at our fav stamping store Mainley Stamping, so Stefani did the make and take. I think she did a fabulous job. She needed some help, but did most of it herself.

Well it's a short post today, I was so busy and now I'm tired, I had to get up early and take Stefani to school, then go and get her and then I went to help out a friend and now I have to help Stefani write her report and I still have my process notes for this week to write... eek, I better get going. Cupcake kind of day

Morning ... it's a beautiful day here in Northern California .... it seems that Summer got here just in time for Fall .... how nice, we have been have a little heat wave and I'm so ready for Fall. I love it when the leaves fall and especially when the weather changes .... Ok, so today I made some cupcake holders from one of my Cricut cartridges ... Ok so i'm not the best baker or froster, but I think the holders are cute. Below is one for a Birthday, I'm actually making a lot of the cupcake holders as I have a school friend who loves to bake, she makes some amazing cupcakes and I thought she might like these....

The Pink one was my daughter Stefani's choice, she loves Pink, it's her signature color ... as she says. Stefani actually helped me this morning and made the cupcakes, they actually came out pretty good, I like mine plain, so I usually don't add frosting to the ones that i'm going to eat.

I love this little Purple flower one, I like the color combos I used .... See this is where you can see i'm not excatly a professional froster.... hehehehehe, but I tried, I was going to dress it up with some sprinkles - but I didn't have any ...

Well, as most of you know i'm in school and that means I have homework to do, so It's time to get that done, that way I don't have to do it over the weekend! Plus I have my intern process notes to finish .... grrr Well hope you enjoy my whimsy creations!

Frankie Buckets

Hi all, it's gonna be a short post today, it's way to hot and I have to get ready to go to my internship. I thought I would make a few Frankie Buckets, I added candy but had to hurry and take the picture, the candy was melting ... hehehe it's 103 today .... in other words........ HOT!

I made some Frankie cards a year or so ago and thought I would make a little treat holder for halloween! I think it came out pretty good. I had used some Rollo's candy for the bolts on the side of the box, but with the heat they kept falling off ... LOL

Below is the bucket after I took the candy out, I have a few more treat boxes to show, but i'll do it tomorrow, i'm hoping it won't be as hot ... I'm so ready for the cooler weather, this heat is killing me. well I hope you enjoy my little creation today, thanks for stopping by ....

Lazy Day!

Well the weekend is almost over, it flew by so fast. Stefani and I didn't do too much, I was feeling kind of blah! Saturday Stefani had school, Golf, then we headed up to my parents, I proceeded to use there A/C and ate their food ... hehehehe I was even so helpful and helped my Dad spend money!

Sunday Stefani and I stayed home for a while then headed up to my Mom and dad's again, Stefani practiced chipping with my Dad in the back yard (golfing) while my mom and I went to Michaels and Target. As you see, my Mom's Pom Lucille watched and waited to seize the moment, and BOOM, she stole the ball .... hehehehe

My Mom and Dad have two pom doggies, Lucille and Louie, but they love to play, my dad calls them Heckle and Jeckle .... So funny, they see a ball and they think it's theirs. So when my Steffers and my Dad are in the back yard, the dogs get locked in the house so they can't steal the golf balls ...

I've been working on a few projects and hope that I'll be able to give you a sneek peek tomorrow ... So Stefani cheered for Vandan High School so I thoughts I would give this little guy Vandan colors ... enjoy!

Hi all and Happy Friday, I know that I've gone a little crazy with the Cowgirl Anya stamp, but she's so cute!

I used my copic markers one her ... I also used my nesties and some bling. I'm in love with Anya stamps ....

So I was driving to a friends house yesterday and I couldn't believe my eyes, I watching this man push his dog out of the car and right onto the freeway. I couldn't get my phone out fast enough to take his picture, but others went after him and another guy stopped to get the dog. ohh i was so mad! How can someone do that?? so crazy!

Football and Cheerleader

OMGoodness, are these the cutest little things ever?? The little cheerleader reminds me of my Steffers when she was cheering. I used Red and Black because those were the colors when Stefani was cheering in high school.... Stefani cheered for Pop Warner for about 14 years, then in Jr. high and then in high school, she loved it... For a long time, she wanted to be a professional cheerleader ... LOL -

I used my copics on this little guy and then of course the crystal stuffs to make him shinny, I'm addicted to it .... and then of course I used some red dew drops, I love those things too :)

Now this stamp reminds me of my Steffers, black curly hair and all .... isn't she cute?? I love her. I got this stamp from a local Stamp store, it's a new artist here in town, she has a new line out, it's called La La Land Crafts .. Anyways, just thought I would pop in and share ... Hey all, Happy Sunday, where the heck did the weekend go? it seemed like I went to bed Thursday night and boom woke up and it was Sunday. Had a pretty good weekend, hung out with a friend last night and slept in this morning ... NOT, my phone rang at about 7:30 this morning .... I hate that, but it got me up and ready to start the day!

So the pic below isn't all that good, for some reason, I don't take very good pictures, but i enjoyed coloring the little Sherriff and making a card out of her .... I used my copics and some crystel stuffs to make her shinny.

Oh good lord, Stefani is watching a show called Fred the Movie and it's so annoying to me, his voice is killing me .... grrr

Anyways, spent the day cleaning, mowing both front and back yards, triming the roses and edging the lawn. Made lucnh, cleaned the kitchen and the it was time to make dinner ... I got some crafty time in so that made up for all the cleaning I did.....

Well now it's time to clean the kitchen from dinner and all I can think about is Rocky Road Ice Cream .... LOL ..... I might need to make a run to Luckys and get some ice cream! Hope all of my bloggy friends are doing well, I'll be visiting you soon ....

Little Cowboys

Hi all, well the last few weeks haven't been as busy, but I started my internship and I love it. I'm interning at a rehibitation center for the mentally ill, I thought it would be scary but it's not.

I have had some time to make some cards and scrapbook some pictures, but haven't had time to post them.

Thank goodness the weather is calming down, I have to say that we had a very mild summer and i'm so thankful for that, I think we may have had a few weeks of triple digit days, but not that many.

So I used my copics on the little cowboys, I love them, I think they are so cute .... I was going to use the crystal stuff on them, but got lazy ... LOL

Well, I better go, I need to go and finish up some laundry and finish up the two birthday cards that I'm working on, I'll post a pic of them when I'm done ... thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hi everyone, well today is going to be a busy day, getting my eyebrows waxed and getting a much needed pedicure ... yay me, but I thought I would add my little guy before I got the day started.

I used my copics and some crystal gloss on him ... isn't he cute? he's one of my Anya stamps that got ... I love the Anya stamps, they are so whimsical looking. the cheerleading paper that I used is so old, I think I got it like 8 years ago, that scrapbook store has since closed, so sad ... I got it so I could scrapbook Stefani when she was little, she cheered for the Vacaville Bengals and the colors were Black and Orange ... alas, I never used the paper ... so it came in handy for this little card.

Ok, so it's been a while since I updated my little blog .... I have been so busy with school and with my internship that I forgot all about my blog-a-versary! man, I'll have to do something big seeing that I forgot.

Just want to thank all my facebook friends that sent well wishes to my daughter Stefani once they saw on my page that she hurt her knee doing yoga. She's doing so much better now and is almost ready to get back to exercising, She will be starting Beginning Golf on Friday and is very excited. My Dad is so excited too, he bought her some clubs and clothes already, he can't wait to take her out with him on the course. Wow, I can't believe that I haven't updated my blog in over a month, shame on me .... I have been so busy with school and trying to find a job, I had a few interviews, but nothing panned out for me. I'm hoping that something comes up soon.

I was also worried because of our lovely goverment, my unemployment was discontinued and I was scared. Thank goodness they passed the extension, I'm hoping to get a check soon .... so nervous.

But in other news, all that hard work and crying I did about having homework and how hard it is, I made the Dean's List and was invited to join the Phi Theta Kappa, so i'm excited about that .... ALSO, in other BIG news, I have offically lost 102 pounds ..... eek, i'm so excited and proud of myself ..... hehehehehehe

Hola .... it's been a minute since I've updated my blog ..... I've been feeling so blah lately that I haven't wanted to do anything, but I'm sure that we have all felt that way. Hi all, it's Monday and i have been feeling pretty lazy the last few days. I haven't wanted to do anything ... i'm thinking that my blodd sugar is up not to mention I have a horrible toothache. Hope you guys are doing well, yesterday I needed to do some much needed cleaning, but my recliner held me hostage and I didn't get anything done.

Well, Stefani and I went bathing suit hunting, I was able to find her one, but I couldn't find me one, I have lost 96 pounds and still see the fat girl and an not happy with anything that I saw. But I need to find one, Stefani and I love to go to Waterworld during the summer, so I think i'm going to go and look for one today. Well see, Stefani is my personal cheerleader, she's so encouraging, but her answer is always, "Ohhh Mom, that looks good one you" - I think she's partical due to me being her mother, hehehe ... so the bathing suit shoping continues ...

So I made this card using my smooch paint, I love smoochs, the bottles look like nail polish, but the images look so shiney ... I love this little guy, he looks so cute just hanging around. Hey there, whoopie the semester has ended, but in a few weeks i'll be crying about summer school ... hehehe so with school out I found time to make this cute little card. it's hard to see but I used my Prima color pencils and some gamisol to even it out ... I love this little guy!

On another note, I can't believe that it's the end of May and I'm having to use an umbrella here in CALIFORNIA, what in the world? Usually it's warm/hot and i'm crying I need the AC, so crazy! School Project

Hey there, OMGoodness, the semester is finally over, well ok, I still have 2 more classes, but then i'm done ... for now... and boy oh boy do I ever need the rest. I'm going to take some online classes in the summer, but it shouldn't be as bad as what I'm going through now.

So for one of my classes, I had to run a mock group, so I made a took box and a referral box to help with the group, it worked out perfectly and I'm sure that I did well. So i'm pretty happy at the way to tool box turned out ... i think it's so cute!

below is the referral box, I also made some tickets with my Cricut ...it came out so good.

Now that school is coming to an end, I feel like I can be a bit more crafty. I don't think that i'll be taking 3 classes again, i'll leave that to the young guns .... 2 will be my max ... hehehe

Flapper ....

OMGoodness- I totally love Anya ... I just bought a ton of stamps and can't wait to create something ... I had some extra time today so I thought I would make a card real fast before heading to school. The picture is hard to see, I used my iPhone to take it, to lazy to use the camera! hehehe

I used the flapper stamp and my nestys for this one, I also used some of my copics and a glitter pin for the headband and feather. I love the sparkle affect the glitter pens give off ...

Aside from school, nothing new going on here, i have to say the weather has been good though, today it was in the high 80's ... so you know what that means, summer is on it's way .... I don't care for the heat, but as long as i'm near a pool, it can get as hot as it wants too. I'm going to get season passes to water world again this year for Stefani and myself, I'm thinking that i'll get one for my momma too. She went with us a few times last year .... it was fun!

Took my Mom to Kaiser to get her new shoes, who knew that Kaiser will pay for a pair of shoes and some lifts?? I didn't, so every year from now on, I can take my Mom to get a new pair of shoes ... she needs them due to her diabetes.

Happy Friday everyone, well I didn't have the chance tomake any cards within the past few weeks, I have been so busy with school and my projects that I haven't spent much time in my crafty room .... blah!

Looky what I got from my good friend Dawne, she sent it to me for my birthday .... THANK YOU Dawne! I love it all!

Man, I'm happy the Spring is here, but it's really messin with my allergies! Sneezing and runny noise ... grrrrr ... but Stefani and I are still having fun ... riding bikes, walking and doing yard work.

Thank goodness the semester is almost over, I have to say that I will NOT take more than 2 classes a semester ... this semester is kicking my booty.

In other news, My Stefani needs to have TWO root canals done on Monday, she has NO idea what she's in for and I'm not telling ..... so wish me and her luck! Well thanks for stoping by ...

HI all, well it's been a lazy day, Stefani isn't feeling to good, she's sneezing and coughing ... blah, I hate it when she's sick. I have to say that she's a trooper though, she hasn't complained at all and will do her best to keep up with me. My First Anya Stamp

Well it's kind of hard to see, but this is my first Anya stamp, I bought some more but was so excited that I had to make a card right away, she is so cute! I'll be sure to post more as I make them.... perhaps on spring break, I have one week of school left and 2 midterms, I hope I do well...

Gosh, as I sit here and type out this post, and i'm so excited about my new stamps, I do it with a heavy heart, a friend of mine passed away yesterday ... I worked with her for several years at Target and Providian Finanical ... she was sick for a few days and now she's gone ... I'm not sure what she passed from, but I know she was sick with bonchitis (sp??) ....

well on that note, I better go, I still need to shower, study and go get my car, it's in the shop for an oil change and small tune up .... hope you all have a blessed day!

It's Spring Time

Hello, Hello, hello .... it's such a beautiful day here in Northern Cali, I think it's going to be in the mid to high 70's, i'm lovin it, but the bad thing is that - that means summer is right around the corner and I don't like the heat ..... but on the other hand, that means that Stefani and I will be hanging out at Water World on the weekends ... woot!

This little card reminds me of SPRING, all the bright colors I used .... I love the background striped paper, it's one of my favorites ..... I also used my oval spellbinders, LOL when I was putting them together, i was off a bit ... hehehe oh well, I guess that's what makes this card an original. I love the stamp, it looks like the girl is going to be carried away ..... I was so excited, I used my Smooch ink for her hair, pants and shirt and balloons ... it's kind of hard to see, but I used that crystal stuff on the balloons .... then of course I used some flowers.

Well short post today, I have to get the day started and do some laundry, food shopping and the dreaded homework.... thanks for stoppin by .....

Morning all, i was up early due to the birds chirping and the sun shining, I guess that's a good thing, but I wanted to sleep in ... oh well .... I'm going to my cousin's baby shower today, she is having a little girl after having 2 boys, so she is super excited..... so here is one of the cards that I just got done making, the shower is in 2 hours and I'm making cards and blogging ... I made this one for my Momma, she figures why should she buy cards when I can make them for her for free, and she's right! I love this little one, I think it's because all of the pink in it and the little images.....

Hola Senorita

Isn't she so cute?? I call her my little Senorita, she actually reminds me of my good friend Anna, I got her at my favorite stamping store in my neighboring city! I used my new spellbinders for her .... I have to say that it came out pretty good.

I used my NEW brown Smooch ink for her hair and then my copics of course for her dress .... it's kind of hard to see but I also used some crystal stuff on her little dress to make it puffy .... Oh and I can't forget the use of the flowers .... over all, I love it ...

So Stefani and I were up early this morning, well at least I was, a friend called me at 5:45am ... perhaps he's not a very good friend for calling that early ... Just kidding .... he saw that I called him so he was calling me back, but had he looked at the time, he would have noticed that I called last night at 8:40pm.

Time Flies

Wow, time flies when your so busy! As you all know, I've been busy in school .. so many papers to write, lots of reading and most of all trying to deal with everything else.

So I found this little stamp in Berkley and fell in love with her, I used my copics for her hair and flowers, but used my shimmers for her dress. I was trying to find a way to use my new "Smooch" stuff, but I think i'll make another little gift bag for my baby niece and nephew for St. Patty's day.

It's hard to see, but I used some diamond embelishments for the flowers .... well, i bettet go, I have lots to do today including, laundry, reading, homework and cleaning the house, oh and lets not forget making dinner.

Heirloom Craft Fair

Stefani and I went to an Heirlooms craft fair yesterday and had so much fun, I only bought a few things as money is tight right now ... we did some make and takes and I found this thing called Smooch's. It's new to me, and I love it ... AND they had this lady there that did dry embossing, I forgot about that, she made me want to come home and pull out all my stuffs ..... Anywhoo, here are some pics of the Smoochs that I found, and the card that my Steffers made ....

This isn't a very good pic, but my Steffers made this card at one of the make and takes .... isn't it so pretty?

It's kind of hard to see, but they used some of that soft puffy flowery stuffs on the flowers to make it really stand out ... Good job Stefani!

These are the bags we made, we made them out of envelops .... awesome huh?? anyways, we used some of the spray Smoochs and dried it with a drying gun and then stamped out image, mine is the one with the coffee cup and the other one is Stefani's, she kind of got carried away with spriting her bag ... hehehehe she still did a good job though!

so in this pic, we have the Smooch's sprit spray and the other one that looks like fingernail polish is another kind of Smoochs .... and then of course I bought the embossing templet .... well that was our day yesterday .... hope you enjoy!

Playing in the Rain

Hi all, well is's been raining here in Cali, I love it, but I really need to get into the back yard and mow the lawn and I can't do that while it's raining .... So I saw this little stamp in one of my fav stamping stores, I knew that I had to have it. I LOVE it ..... and it fits with all the rain we have been having here.

I have been busy with school and have several semester projects to do .. ugh! the good thing is that I know what needs to be done, it's just doing it ... hehehehe

I've been feeling some what better, my kidneys are still a bit inflamed which is very painful, but it's not as bad as it was several weeks ago.

So tomorrow is my oldest nephews birthday, I can't believe that he's going to be 26 ...man that makes me feel old. I love him so much .... I was looking at the calendar and noticed that my Steffers birthday is on Easter this year! Woot, i'm so excited ....

Well I hope you enjoy my card, I used my H20 on the rain coat and my copics to color in the monkey. I also mixed some glitter and embossing power and put some heat on the swirl on the end of the card ... I should have used a different color ink so it would show up better, but I guess it's trial and error ... next time I'll try something different. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day!

Hey all ....
Happy Tuesday, it's a beautiful day here in Cali, the sun was out but now it looks like it's going to rain. I managed to mow the lawn and edge the grass. My Steffers pulled weeds and did the best she could to help.

In other news, I think my kidneys are inflamed, my back is killing me, not sure if I shared, but due to my diabetes and not taking good care of myself, I was diagnosed with Kidney disease. I have been taking my meds and shots so i'm not sure why my kidneys are hurting. i'm very bummed ... because it's very painful.

On to the card, I love this little guy, I use him all the time, so I hope your not tired of him! The Lovebug stamp is from Michaels, it was a dollar stamp .. well I better go, I have school tonight and I didn't read the chapter ... Opps! Thanks for stoping by and hope ya'll have a great day!

Tis the Season for Valentines Day Cards

Today has been a good day, I got up went to church and then cleaned the house. Stefani and I went and got a starbucks seeing they don't deliver (how rude) ... hehehehe and then headed to Fairfield. Did a little running around and came home. I did manage to make this little card at my fav Stampin Store, I thought it was a cute way to kick off Valentines day .....

it was pretty easy and something that can be duplicated for any Holiday! Easy Peasy ....

Well most of you know that I have been going to school, I have also been out of work for a year, I was laid off from Washington Mutual when Chase purchased us ... I was there over 10 years ... anyways, I really need to get out and working again, and there is an opportnity to work in retail (i really don't want to work retail) but it will conflict with school. I know that If I stop going to school, then there is a really good chance that I won't go back.

working right now will also prevent me from doing my fieldwork that is requored for me to graduate..... I'm putting it in God's hands, I have been worrying about this and I'm sure that's why I haven't been sleeping well ....

Second Post of 2010

hello all .... not sure if anyone still follows me, but here's my second post for 2010.. I'm hoping that this is my year, 2009 wasn't to kind to me ... so with that behind me, I'm hoping that this will be my year!

I read somewhere that odd years are never good for Aries', and wouldn't you know, I'm Aries! LOL - After all the trials and tribulation in 2009, I'm ready for anything!
As you all know, I have been going to school, I'm trying to get my degree in Human Services, In May 2010, I should be graduating with my certificate and then hopefully in 2011, I'll graduate with my AA. I'm really interested in helping families with children with Mental Illness. During school this past year, this area has really touched my heart and this group is often over looked and needs help.

Aside from school, I have to say that I have enjoyed my time home, but it's time to rejoin the working world. I miss the hustle and bustle of it all. I want to make new friends and have fun again, I'm such the social butterfly ... I want to have deadlines, talk with other adults and work on projects. I'm sure once I find a new job, two weeks in, I'll be crying that I need a vacation ... hehehe

Since my time off, I thought I would be in the craft room all the time, but the fact of the matter is, I was really bummed and was somewhat disappointed that I didn't have a job. I remember working and I couldn't wait to get off work to come home and craft something up .... well today is a new day, I’m going to try harder to post to my little bloggy and follow others. I guess you can say that I was somewhat depressed, but i'm done with that now. I'm only looking at the brighter things in life and will put all that energy in school and crafting.

Well now on to other things, I was in the craft room the other day and make the MLK card in honor of MLK and my daughter Stefani, she is obsessed with him .... I made the Happy Birthday card for a friend of mine, I used some white puffy stuff as the frosting ... so cool. I also used my NEW copics for the candles and I used my shimmer paint for the cake ...

Now on to the Thanks You card.... My Steffers made that one, we were at one of my favorite stamp stores (Mainely Stampin) and she did a make and take .... I hope you enjoy and sorry for the rambling!

Hi all, well I have been busy making some little crafty snowman and Santa treat holders. I saw the idea in Hallmark and studied them and knew I could remake them at home. They were $5.99 in the store and I made mine next to nothing. I have the 2 snowmen and one half done and then in the second picture, I have a Snowman and Santa one ... arn't they cute???? Hello fellow bloggers, I have to say this wasn't my year, so many things have happened and none of them good, but i'm still here and hope to get back to making cards and scrapbooking soon. I completed my first year in college and feel pretty good about that. I'm done with school for right now but start back up in Jan 2010, i should graduate in may 2010 with my Human Services certificate and then in 2011 with my AA degree.. it's been a long road, but so worth it ...

Happy Friday everyone!

It's a beautifual day here in Nor Cal, it's a tad bit chilly, but I love it, it smells like Christmas ... some people down the street from me already have their Christmas lights up.... I love this time of year.

Well I have been so busy with school but this semester is coming to an end and I can't wait. I love the classes that I took, but I'm ready for a break, this semester was brutal and noext semester will only get worse, I have to take 3 class and a field work class - yikes .. but the good thing is that I will have the first half of school completed ... yay me!

LOL i forgot that I had this little stamp on my collection, I was looking for my Ladybug stamp but found this little guy. I think it's so cute, it's actually 2 stamps, the hive and the little bee ... I made the little black dots with my copic marker... Hope you enjoy!

Well it's been a while since I have posted to my blog, but i'm back, had a great day today, babysat my nephew Noah, he's 5 and had his halloween party today, he was a boxer... so cute. we rans some errands and then picked up some Mcdonalds and ate.

Noah stamped a few images for me, i'll use then in another card, Noah does a really good job coloring.

I'm hoping to go to the movies tonight, I haven't been feeling well, but since I got my necessary meds, i'm feeling so much better and i'm ready to go! Well it's short post today, hope ya'll like th cards.

Hello all, i'm not sure if there is anyone still following me, but I've been a bad blogger..... I have been so busy looking for a job and with school. I forgot how much time school takes ... I can't believe that I have been out of a job for almost 10 months, it makes me so sad with I think about it ... I'm a good person, why doesn't anyone what to hire me???

Anyways, I'm going to try and a better blogger. I haven't been in my craft room in a month .. shame on me! I hope to get back into the groove of things in the next few days!

Hey all and Happy Tuesday, well today would have been my beloved Nana's 90th birthday, but sadly we lost her 4 years ago to Cancer, you can see her beautiful face at the top of my side bar!
On a better and happier note, I think of her all the time and love her as much if not more then the day she passed! So Happy Birthday Nana, I hope your dancing your chancla's off!

Hey all, well it's been 2 wks since my last post, hope you all had a good summer. I did, Stefani and I have been going to Water World every weekend, and have had a blast. I think they are only open til Labor day, so we have a few more weekends left. The State Fair is coming .... Whoo Hoo, we go every year, I love going. It's the same thing every year, but for some reason I still get excited.

Another venture Stefani and I have been on is the Sizzling Summer Paper Chase, it has been so much fun, we have been to at least 10 stores and have 10 more to go by Sunday. I think we only may do 2-3 more and then we're done. I love going to other scrapbook stores and seeing what they have. On our paper chase, I have found several more stores that I would drive too. One was in Elk Grove, it was great, it was both a scrapbook store and stamp store. These days, it's one or the other. I was in love ........

I bought this little Cookie Monster stamp at the Elk Grove store ... I had to have it so I can make some more cards for Pat's Cards 4 Kids program. I also bought a Big Bird stamp .. so cute ... Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Back!!! I finally got into my scrapbook room and made a card! Whoo Hoooo... it's been a long time. I have been so busy and lazy at the same time. LOL I think we all get that way. So yesterday we went to California's Great America park and had so much fun. I went with my Momma, my daughter Stefani, my nephew and his little family. It was the first time my baby niece and nephew had been there. It's so much fun watching it through their eyes.

My poor baby nephew Noah was so little to ride most of the ride, thank goodness for the baby section. Noah is 5 and wanted to ride everything, but that didn't happen. His sister Mikayla was able to ride some of the big rollercoasters and she LOVED it! she's growing up so fast.

I took Noah and we played some games, he beat me at both of the, I was so worried that he wasn't going to be able to get the water in the hole, that he won. So the next time we played, I lost just because I wasn't fast enough. He won 2 little bulldog stuffed animals. he was so happy!

Hey all, it's been another busy week, I haven't really had time for creating and with as hot as it's been, haven't really wanted too. Stefani (my daughter) and I have been doing so much this summer, seeing I'm not working right now. I really need to find a job ... hehehe

Of course school has to come first, but i think I'm getting the hang of this on line thing, it's still hard, but it's getting easier. I'm holding my own in my classes and so far have an "A" in both classes so I'm pretty excited and realize that all my hard work is paying off!

This month has been so busy and it's just the middle of July. We had the 4th of July and that was fun, then we had my parents 47th Wedding Anniversary and Sunday we are going to Great America. Stefani and I have been going to Water World almost every weekend and have been swimming to our hearts content.

LOL we semi got busted in bringing in our own food to water word yesterday, we bought 4 McDonalds Cheeseburgers and tried to smuggle them in, well they found 2 when they went through my bag, I had then toss them as we still had some they didn't find, so we still got to eat our McDonalds. Man food is so expensive there, It cost me $40 for Stefani and I to eat there. So crazy! any hoots, no card to post today, but I promise that I will be a better crafter!

I'm so excited, my youngest nephew who moved to L.A. last year is doing well, he works for Best Buy. He was the one that was in the Drake and Josh Christmas, anyways, he called my Mom and told her that he's going to be in a new best Buy commerical in September. I'm so proud of him.

Hi blogger friends, it's been so long since I posted to my blog! hope every one had a great 4th of July!

I feel so bad, like I'm neglecting my little ole blog ... but I'm going to try and post every couple days. So all of you know that I have been doing the summer school thing, it's consuming my life. I finally got somewhat of a handle and made a schedule to help me stay on track and have one free day so I can have some fun too :)

Well the job hunt it's going so well, but at least I'm doing the school thing to keep my mind busy (and is it every busy). you would think with out a job that I would have lots of time to create, but for some reason I don't, it's so crazy!

Any hoots, enough about me, I made this card for a friends birthday, she is a dear friend and I have know her for over 23 years, I love and respect her so much! Hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting my blog! have a good day and God bless!

4th of July Card

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around. Still doing the school thing and trying my hardest to keep up. Who knew that on line classes would be so hard. I didn't, that's for sure!

It's so hot today, at 11:30am it was already 88 degrees, not sure how hot it is right now, but it has to be in the high 90's. I don't like the heat, it makes me feel like I'm melting. in fact after dinner tonight, Stefani and I are going to get an ice cream at Foster Freeze.... yummm i can taste it now ....

I was at one of my favorite stamp stores yesterday and bought some more glitter markers, i shouldn't have but I really wanted them. I have no self control .. hehehe

I was so excited that the Northern Cali Sizzlin Summer Paper Chase is coming up, not sure if any of you guys participated last year, but I loved it. Stefani and I went to 11 stores and did all our make and takes. I'm so excited for this year.

Graduation Favors

Hi all, it's a beautiful day here in Northern California. I was up early this morning as i have so much homework to do. I haven't had much time to create anything or participate in any challenges, but one I get a handle on school and get myself into a routine, I'll be sure to scope out all the fun challenges. Thank you for sticking with me and visiting my little blog. I'm going to try and make time to create. Lords know i have so much to do and so many pictures ... hehehehe

So my friends son just graduated from high school and she wanted me to help her create a fun party favor. So below is what I came up with. it's kind of hard to see as I took the pic with my camera phone.

I was going to make the box with my cricut, but I didn't have time, so I bought the clear boxes at Wal Mart in the wedding section. I then used MS word to create the saying and printed it out on white cardstock. I then used a circle punch and wa la.... thus you have the boxed candy favors

Hello bloggers friends, I finally got my lap top back. I'm so happy and right in time for school. I was finally going to stamp this morning and guess what?? i was all out of white cardstock ... can you believe that? all the cardstock that I have and I ran out of white cardstock So i headed to my favorite stampin store "Mainely Stampin" and got some white cardstock. So i'm back in business... yay me! I did manage to walk out with more that cardstock though ... hehehehe
I bought some stamps and Stefani (my daughter) did a make and take. She had fun.... hope you enjoy!

Thank You Notes

Hey all, sorry I haven't been bloggin lately, I haven't had time, With Stefani's graduation and me looking for a job, going to EDD classes and summer school on line, it's been pretty hectic. I also got sick, actually, I thought I was having a heart attack, i finally went to the Dr's, had an EKG - and she told me it was stress. So thank God for that, but then my nephew got sick, the Dr's performed a spinal tap and didn't close it up correctly, they left a gaping hole in his spinal cord and it was leaking fluid into his body. Needless to say, he had to have surgery to close the hole. Thank Goodness he's ok.

Well enough about me and my problems, I have been working on some Thank you notes for all who attended Stefani's graduation. I had my own idea of what they should look like, but Stefani wanted them to be pink .... hehehehe ... Pink is her signature color! So with that said, here is what we came up with. Hi all, I have been so busy, finals and writing term papers is enough to make someone crazy .. I feel like I have been out of the loop. I appreciate all of you who come back and check my blog! In other BIG news, I found out that my daughter will be graduating from College next Friday! I'm so proud of her, she has over come so much, she has special needs and is mentally challanged, although she is 23, mentally she is 10-11..... While she was growing up, I taugh her to never give up and to NEVER use her disabilities as a cop-out ... and this is the result, I will have a college graduate. I think shes getting her certificate in Horticulture or something like that, so be on the look out for pics next week.

Her Uncle Chris flew in from Texas to be here, I can't express how happy and proud I am of her. She is my Hero! I think i'm going to have a big party for her in July, that way both sides of the family can make it.
