Disneyland Vacation

Well, I just got back from vacation. We went to Disneyland and it was great fun! My daughter had a blast. I took my mom with us for her Christmas and birthday gift. We were there for 5 days and i'm ready to go back.

I'm going to have to save LOTS of money and make that trip to Disney World! I think I walked about 20 miles the week we were there, my legs got a bit sore but I'm thinking that's due to my lack of exercising. My thought of exercising is going back and forth to starbucks .... LOL just kidding, but I do need to walk more. Maybe that will be my new years resolution...... well here are a few Pics of my daughter with some of the Disney princesses ..... (I can't believe how much Snow White looks like the one in the cartoon .... amazing)

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

I can't believe how fast the year has past, I was in my scrapbook room trying to decided about Christmas cards and what I was going to make, this is what I came up with, but I was thinking that I would make a few more and then decide ... so stay tuned over the next few days to see what else I have created!

Tis the Season!

Well the holidays are here and it's time to get into the hussle and bussle of it all, well maybe. I usually try to buy all year long so I don't have to be in the mix of the pushing and shoving of it all. I worked Black Friday, but that didn't stop the hundreds of people trying to get the best deals, the factory stores were I live opened at MIDNIGHT, yep I said midnight and the parking lots were full (I was on my way to work and passed right by them). Driving through Concord Ca, I saw that Best Buy had a line around the building ..... Well once I got home, I was able to relax and rest (ok, I raked up some leaves) but I was also able to make some orniments for the tree and a few cards ......... I embossed the tree and the orniment snow flake and added some glitter. I used the old napkin trick on the second card and some glitter on on it, the first one is a clear sticker that I laid over some paper cut out, I did the same thing with the present. enjoy!

Thanksgiving

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, this year has gone by so fast. It's like I blinked and the year is almost over .... Here are 2 cards that I made this morning, one is the Shadow Box card (I got the idea from Dawn at Dawns Stamping Thoughts, Thanks for the great idea!). The other card I made by using a Thanksgiving napkin I got from Hallmark and some scrap sticky spray. They both were fun and easy to do ....

I'm Back (again)

Ok, well it's been a while since I have posted, but I'm going to try and post a new creation at least 2 times a week, I think that's a good goal for me at least. Here is a card that I made for my daughters teachers birthday, I took some Pink Satin ribbon and a rub on and rubbed it onto the pink ribbon. Enjoy, it's good to be back on line .....:)

Blah, Blah, Blah

Well due to my awesome computer skills, I somehow deleted my McAfee security and managed to discomboobalate my SBC account, so I can't post anything to my site, but hang in there, I'll be up and running very soon. Ya can't keep a good girl down for long, I have to make a trip back to the computer guy, i'm sure they are lovin me right now and all the money that I'm putting out.... grrr!

Did someone say Shoes?

So with Bosses day tomorrow, I decided to make my boss a little something, She loves shoes, so I made a candy shoe, that's right, a Candy shoe .. I also made one for Halloween, I love making this shoe, it's so cute!

Boo

It's a short post today, but here's a card that I made for my friend Ben for Halloween, actually I'm in the process of making some cookies to send to him. Ohhh my house smells so yummy!

The Big 50

Well my brother in law is turning 50 and my sister is having a huge surprise party for him tomorrow night, it's a polka dot surprise/gag gift party. My sister asked that everyone come wearing polka dots because Tom doesn't like them. She also said to bring a gag gift, so here's mine, it's a "Diaper Cake" made with Depends diapers, denture cream and tooth brush, tums, Hemorriod cream, Bruit and Old Spice ... (LOL) it also has a magnifying glass and some Ben Gay .... everything he should need ... j/k ... I'm also making a guest book ... I'm Back .....................

Whooo Hoooo, I got my computer back last night and I'm so happpy. I never really knew how much I depended on it until it was gone ....I'll post some things that I created when I get home from work.

Computer Problems

Well it's inevitable, I have to take my computer in for cleaning. It's taking way to long to boot up and to connect to the internet. Although I just stated my blog and i'm very excited about it, I won't be on line for a week or so, hopefully it won't take that long.

I have scrapbook/Stamp night this Friday and I'm looking forward to it, so hopefully when I get my computer back, I'll have lots of new things to post.

A Day for Remembrance

I felt weird waking up this morning going about my business getting ready for work knowing that in a different part of the country some people will be grieving for the loss of their loved ones. The attack that devastated our country 6 yrs ago was the last thing on my mind when I went to bed last night and the first thing on my mind when I woke up.

Crazy but I don’t think that I’ll ever forget the image of that day and sitting in awe of the destruction, but today is a day of remembrance not only for those who were lost but for our troops who are fighting to keep us free!

Well, it's a short post today as I pulled my back out by picking up the garden hose of all things.

I have several friends who's b-days are this month, one whose is tomorrow .... I've know Renee for years and wanted to send her a special card, I used my Party Kittens stamp (whipper snapper) it's one of my favorites.

A Great Day for Ice Cream

It was such a beautiful day out today, I was so busy from the minute I woke up to now. After I got up and ate breakfast, I went to Lowes to check out a few things, I was thinking that I might need to buy a new lawnmower but after talking with Dustin in the Seasonal department, I was able to flush out the oil and change the sparkplug.... Yea me! I'm so calling Lowes to let them know what a great employee he is, he let me ask all my questions and I didn't feel rushed, he even made me a
"To Do" list.

I'm thinking that tomorrow will be a day of rest. Here are a few cards that I was able to create ...:)

Is it Friday yet?

Although it's been a short work week, it feels like this week has been forever! I was trying to make some cards, but my DD kept coming in and out of the scrapbook room carrying on about being hungry, wait, I think she said that she was starving. Yep, that's it, starving (as she's munching on some Chilli Cheese Fritos .... )

Needless to say, I was only able create this photo holder, I'm sure it has a more savvy name, but "Photo Holder" was the first thing that came to my mind. Hopefully I'll have some cards made by tomorrw, I was in the middle of using my H2O paint on a card I was making when Stefani (my DD) came in the room and hit the table .... Yep you guessed it, H2O all over the card .... Oh well ..... If at first you don't succeed ...... blah blah blah.

Can anyone tell me how to fix the Italic text on the side bars? I have no idea what I did and I can't seem to remove it and put it back to plan text.

Birthdays Birthdays and more Birthdays

It seems that September is a very busy month, I have 4 friends who have birthday's this month and Grandparents day is coming. I only had time to make one card today, I got busy some errands and the time escaped me. I used Blue and Green Bling Bazzill paper and my cuttlebug on this card, I used the Happy Birthday folder and some ribbon that I got out of the "Michaels" $1 bin. I love their dollar bin. The stamp is from Great Impressions and is called "Happy Birthday Giraffe"

I think it's only 80 degrees today, but it feels like a 1000 degrees. I don't care for the heat, I don't like to be sweaty, that's my excuse for not exercising ... tee hee

We went to the state fair and my daughter got to see her first Budwieser Clydesdale, take a look at him, he's huge.

Labor Day

It's truley "Labor Day" in my house, I've been up doing laundry and cleaning the house for the week. We don't have much planned for the day, I'm going to rest as tomorrow is a work day for me. My daughter is busy watching her soaps while I'm trying to get in some stampin and scrapbookin in. LOL It's going to be a hot one today, so I'm hoping to get all my chores out of the way early. Here are 2 cards that I managed to make this morning. I used my favoite "Bee" stamps and my new "Harvest/fall stamps" I got yesterday. I couldn't wait to use them. Walking into a Stamping store for me is like a small child walking into a candy store. Enjoy!

A Lazy Day

Well it's Sunday and I'm feeling so lazy, yesterday I was helping my sister with my BIL's 50th birthday party invitations, but I did manage to squeeze in a card or two ... this one was made with my "Critters and Blossoms" stamps, I think they are so cute. I used my NEW Prismacolor pencils .... I went looking for some Gamsol at my local Home Depot but they had no idea what I was talking about, anyone know where I can get some, or do I have to order it online?

Thursday

Happy Thursday, I didn't have the chance to post anything new last night, I was so busy when I got home from work not to mention it was so HOT, it was 105. The heat makes me very lazy. Not a total loss though, the mail man did bring me a package and it was my fun flock and stamps that I ordered, Whooo Hooo, I'm so excited, just in time for the long weekend. I did manage to drag this ole body out into the heat and stopped by one of my favorite scrapbook stores in town and picked up some card stock, you can never have enough card stock.. hehehe

Here is the invitation and gift box (the initial "S" on the card/gift box is for my daughters name: "Stefani") I made for my daughter's 21st b-day, I made the Posie trees, let me tell you that was no easy task, I glued all the posies on. I was trying to do all this without my DD finding out, it was a surprise Party for her. This was her cake and it was delicious. My sister made the cookies that say "21" on them and I had some Petite Fore's and some english tea cookies. The little boxes by the cake are little matchboxes. I removed the matches and replaced it with Hershey miniture candies, I wrapped paper around them and tied the ribbon on..... Her party was so much fun.

Day 2

Well here I am, day 2 and still trying to figure this thing out, you see I posted a card that I made without any details. DUH! I can't for the life of me figure out how to go and edit it. Oh well, trial and error I guess. LOL I can tell this is going to be fun! I just want to thank Jen for stopping by and for teaching me how to edit my posts.

This card is for a friend of mine, her b-day is coming up and I wanted to be ahead of the game ... LOL like that's possible ....
I used my Flower Pot stamp (Whippersnapper designs) along with my groovy marvy scalloped oval punch (I love those things), it's hard to see but I used some green fun flock on the leaf. Enjoy!
