Summer Days

Well last Friday, my baby neice and nephew came over and spent the night, they love coming to my house, but love it even more now that it's hot and they can go swimming, here are a few pictures of them swimming, I got a really good one of Mikayla jumping off the latter, enjoy!

Sticker Book

One of my friends has a little girl who's 2, and loves stickers but doesn't have a sticker book. So I thought I would try to create something small and simple but yet very girlie! I took some chip board and covered it with some pink and white striped paper. I added some pastel color card stock in side so all the pages wouldn't be just white. I was going to use my Zutter machine, but I was thinking after I punched the holes that it may not be 2 years old friendly. So I used some plain rings to help the pages turn easier when Kendell is added her stickers. Enjoy!

Checking In ................

Well I haven't posted anything in a week or so, but I have been so busy! I've been trying to stay cool and in the house due to all the fires we are having here in California. One night I was driving home and my daughter said "Mom, look at the moon" it was orange from all the smoke in the air. the smoke is finally clearing up and the moon is as bright as can be and the air is getting better. The air quality was terrible.

So yesterday, I was cleaning out my pool and my niece in law was over helping, my daughter thought it would be a great idea for her to help too, I didn't want her to as she is VERY accident prone ..... before I knew it she was in the pool and slipped and fell! yep you guesssed it, she fractured her right wrist, it's a very small hair line fracture but she said it hurts like the dickens.

Monkeying Around

Hello and happy Sunday! man is it hot here, it's 7pm and it's still 102 degrees ..... whooo weeee HOT! Hope you all had a great 4th of July, I went to my parents for a while and then came home to watch the fireworks, I can see them from my house. So my dd and I sat on the drive way and watched the light show.

well I haven't posted in a week, so I thought I would post this little card that I made earlier in the week, I'm sending it to my very good friend, her birthday is today, so it will be a day late, but better late then never, right? Enjoy!

Thinking of You!

well i haven't posted anything in a few days, i'm still not feeling to well. The meds I was taking are not working and I was put on insulin. My blood sugar is still in the 200's, but is slowly coming down. the crazy thing is tht I had to learn how to give my self the injections .... blah!

Now on to the good stuff, I'm so into the crayon resist look. I love the way the colors pop off the page. I used some Yellow and white cardstock, I stamped my image and then colored over it with a white crayon and then blotted some ink over it and wala .... I also used some green stick on gems ..... enjoy and stay cool, it's 6pm and 98 degrees!

Tri Fold Card

Ok, so i needed to make a card for a friends birthday that would hold 3 gift cards, so i racked my brain and this is what I came up with, my own Tri Fold card.

I used: Black and white cardstock, stampendous flower stamp and some stazon black ink. I traced the stamp with a white crayon and then dabbed yellow and orange ink all over the flowers .... and Wala ........... Inside it has a gift certificate for Black Angus, Movie tickets and Starbucks..... enjoy!

I'm Back

Well I know that I haven't been a very good blogger lately, but as my last post noted, i haven't been feeling to well. now I know why, i'm diabetic. I have been in and out of the hospital a few times and now i'm on the road to recovery. My sugar levels topped over 511. My range should be between 80-130.... so as you can see i was really sick. But now it's back to making cards and scrapbooking ...... yeah me!

I had my baby neice and nephew over and made a few cards .... Mikalya is 6 and wanted to make some cards for her teachers, she did it all by herself, the only thing I helped with was the fun flock. Noah is 4 and he colored his card all by himself .... above are their creations ....

As for my creation, I used some black and diamond white cardstock. I stamped my flower and traced the flower with a white crayon and then sponged some ink on the flowers.... Enjoy!

Under the weather

Well I havn't been a very good blogger in the past few weeks, I haven't been feeling very well, however I did make an appointment with my Dr so maybe she will be able to tell me what the heck is wrong. I'll start posting more in the next few days. It's been so HOT here, I think over the weekend, it reached 106! Hot Hot Hot, yesterday we were treated to the high 90's ... hehehehhe I think it was 97 degrees. I don't mind the heat, as long it's not in the 100's - :)

Lady bug, Lady bug Fly Away Home

Isn't she cute! I found her at my local stamp store and had to have her .... I used my copic markers to color her in, not sure if you can see it, but I used a glue stick on the flower and added the glitter. I used a SU punch for the flowers and added the pearls. enjoy!
