OMG, so I walked into my local scrapbook store and noticed a sign titled “Sizzlin Summer Paper Chase, Northern Ca." Basically, you buy a passport and go to one of the 17 participating stores and make the page they created for the paper chase. There are prizes to win and of course if you buy anything you get a discount and who doesn't love a discount??? A few of the stores are having sales during this time too..... Yikes- I can't wait, come on Friday!
It’s begins tomorrow and goes through Aug 10th. I’m so excited, I already strategically planned what stores I’ll be going to and the order I’ll go in … hehehehehe.
I think I’ll be able to hit at least 10-12 stores, a few of them are just too far to drive to with the cost of gas and all. Sheesh we are at $4.35 a gallon, but you can find a few places that are $4.19 if you’re lucky and they are not out of gas. There’s just something wrong when you are excited that gas is $4.19 a gallon…. What happened to the good ole days when gas was $1.79 a gallon???? man, we'll never see those days again.
By the time my baby neice and nephew are old enough to drive, I'll be able to tell them stories of the price of gas being $1.79 a gallon, kind of like the stories my mom use to tell us about walking 5 miles to school in the snow ... bawahahaha
A few months ago, my good friend Dee had a scrapbook party and my mom went with me, she made a card and really enjoyed it. So I thought my mom and my daughter would have fun doing this with me, it's going to be a girl’s weekend of scrapbooking fun! My Mom doesn’t scrapbook but she’s actually looking forward to going with me.
