3+5+7=15

** Blog Candy offer is now Closed**
Thanks to all who participated, the blog candy offer is now over, remember to check back, the winners will be announced by 11am pacific time on Jan 1, 2009.

What does that mean? Well it means that it's BLOG CANDY time..... I forgot to do something for my Blogoversary which was in August by the way (I'm a dork, I know), but then I was thinking that I would do something big. So that means 4 lucky people have a chance to win. The numbers 3, 5, 7 and 15 are my favorite numbers, so the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 15th person picked will get to win something. Since 7 is my ultimate favorite number, that person will win the grand prize (the Lg Pink tote below)

So here's what you have to do:
  • Leave me a comment on this post
  • Tell me how you found my blog and if you have visited more than once.
  • If this is your first visit to my blog, “Welcome” hope you come back and visit.
  • Link my blog site to yours announcing my blog candy give away.

Remember this is a one time BIG blog candy give away (I'll do others, but they will be smaller, this one is big seeing that I missed my own Blogoversary). My blog candy give away ends on Dec 31, 2008 at 11:59pm (pacific time) and the winners will be announced by 11am (pacific time) on Jan 1, 2009. Good Luck!

So without further ado …. This is what you can win:

  1. Brown tote includes: Green flowers, tile dots, paper, an ink pad, buttons, a set of small clear stamps and a scrapbook kit.
  2. Brown tote includes: Blue flowers, tile dots, paper, an ink pad, buttons, a set of small clear stamps and a scrapbook kit.
  3. Brown tote includes: Orange flowers, tile dots, paper, an ink pad, buttons, a set of small clear stamps and a scrapbook kit.

Ladybugs

Happy Sunday, a short post today, I'm not feeling to good today, I think it's the weather. I have had the worst headache. I thought if I ate the headache would go away, but no.... It still there.

Anyways back to my ladybug card, I used some pink and white cardstock, one of my cuttlebug folders, a ladybug stamp, flowers and a button. I had this cute little container that had some flowers in it, well when i tried to open it, the lid was glued shut. So I had to cut the flowers out. I was so sad, but I managed to get the flowers out. Enjoy! I'm heading to bed ... Good night

My Nephew Josh in "Josh and Drake's Christmas Special"

Ok, so my youngest nephew Josh was in the Josh and Drake's Christmas special, I DVR'd the show and when he's parts came up, I paused the TV and took a pic with my camera phone (LOL) here is my nephew, he was in several scenes - but this was the only good shot that I got of him ...hehehehe We are so proud of him ............ LOL, he's being arested by the cop ... he said it was loads of fun, he was also on a game show, did you know they plant people in the audience? I didn't know that until he said that they planted him in the second row. The things that make you go hummmmmm............. I can't wait to see the commercial he did with LaBron James ....

Christmas is Coming

I have HEAT! it took a bit but I got a new heater and it's nice and toasty in my house. I also got a new laptop and I'm having issues using the thing. It's all brand new to me. hehehe

So my youngest nephew Josh moved to LA about 6 months, he wanted to break into the movie business, low and behold, he got himself an agent the minute he got out there and he got a part in that show "Josh and Drake's Christmas Special", we are so proud of him. He loves it in LA, he has also done a few NIKE commercials with Labron James, so I'd say he's doing pretty good.

Onto my card, I did the napkin trick, I used some red cardstock, a napkin, I also added some bling to the tree as ornaments. Enjoy!

Christmas Wreath

Hello blogger friends, it's been a rough and tough last couple of weeks, but I know things will get better. Oh my goodness, it's so COLD, I had the PGand E man come to see what was wrong with my heater and the sad new is that I need to buy a new one ... GRRRR!!! It's been so cold, Stefani (my DD) and I have been bundling up to try and keep warm, it's hard to want to create things when you are freezing cold. I bought a portable heater from the Wal Mart, it said that it heats a room within minutes ........... LIES! it never heated my living room, so I took it to my bedroom ........ NOTHING, so I took it back and bought a Mocha from Starbucks! Hehehehe

So I'm forced to get a new heater and right before Christmas, but isn't that the way it works? anyways, I did manage to make this Christmas card. Enjoy ~

I used:
  • Red Cardstock
  • Designer Christmas Paper
  • Holly Wreath by Make an Impression
  • Copic Markers
  • Ribbon from Michaels
  • Crystal Stickles by Ranger

Penguin Shakin' Fun

Hello Bloggers, I'm back, thanks for all the nice comments, they are greatly appreciated, I'm still waiting for the PG and E man to come and heat my ole house up, it's freezing cold in here!

Isn't this little Penguin so cute? I saw this at one of my local Stamping stores and knew that I had to make it! It's the Sizzix Penguin die cut, I used with both Black and whilte card stock, some double sided thick tape and a little square of plastic to help keep all the beads in his belly. The back ground was made from the cuddle bug dots folder. I giggle when I see this little guy!

Assorted Cards

Happy Saturday - Thanks for the well wishes, I appreciate it. I know why I haven't been feeling good, I was taking some medicine for my allergies, when I let my Dr. know she said to STOP taking it ASAP! she said that I can't take that medicine while I'm using my insulin and taking my other meds, I guess they don't mix well, thus making me sick ... whew .... it's a good thing I listened to my body and didn't dismiss the way I was feeling. Anywho, enough about me, I made a few cards today that I'm sending to my adopted soldier Thomas. I'm sure he will be able to send them to his family when time permits. The Frankie card is for my Nephew, he's 4, I thought he would get a kick out of the little card, it's his size, cute and little! Here are a few of the cards:

Well it's getting late and my daughter is a calling me to come and watch some TV with her. My lovely and dearest daughter Stefani is on High School Musical restriction (LOL) right now and is dying because I won't let her go and see the movie that came out on Friday, she got herself in trouble for disrespecting and talking back me and is now trying to back pettle to do everything she can to be my best friend so she can go and see the movie. LOL ..... Ahhh I love her to pieces but some times a Mom has to do what a Mom has to do.

For those of you who don't know, my daughter is 22 but has some learning disabilites and is mentally about 11-12, so she's still at the rolling the eyes stage and right now thinks that I'm the meanest mom in the world. Ok, I really better go, she just came in and told me that she's starving and will wilt away if she doesn't get any food in her body (heaven for bid, we don't want that to happen) - she says this to me while eating a bag of chips ... hehehehe Kids!

Ants and Picnics

Hello blogger friends, I haven't been a very good blogger lately, I haven't been feeling to well. I was telling my Mom that I feel the way I felt when I was first diagnosed with diabetes and that was NOT a good feeling. I called my Dr and she said that all my blood work came back normal and that I was doing great - she hasn't got a clue as to why I'm feeling this way, she suggested it may be stress related.

So for the past few days I have been coming home from work and laying down, not to mention that I have has the worst headache! Basically, I'm a mess right now. I did manage to work on this little card, I plan to start working on some more cards to send to Pat from The Rubber Maid and send some to my adopted soldier. I might be MIA the next few days making cards. Well I better go, this ole headache is killin me, I think I'm going to go and lay down ... (:

Hope you enjoy the card .....

"Soldiers' Angels"

So I was browsing Sara's blog Everlasting Scraps and was reading about the "Soldiers Angels" program. So I went to the website she provided and decided to adopt a soldier and join the "Card Plus Team". I thought it would be a great way to give back for all that they are doing for us. I was just assigned a Soldier and can't wait to start supporting him with letters, cards and some goodies. As I read through all the information, I knew I made the right decision to become an angel. Like I mentioned, I also joined the Card Plus Team, I figured that I can make some extra cards when needed. I'm sure the soldiers will appreciate all that they receive.

Just A Note

Happy Tuesday! today was a good day, I got a lot done at work and felt pretty good about that, however on my way home, I was stuck in traffic and it took me over 2 hours to get home. There was a Funeral procession going on for a slain Richmond officer. Man there had to be at least 200+ cops in attendence. So I was sitting in my car and this lady ran up to my car knocking on the window, she scared the ba-geezes out of me ... she asked if she could use my cell phone to call her Dr. to let them know that she was not going to make it to her appointment. so let her use my phone.

Needless to say, I made it home safe and sound and ready to make cards, so here is what I created today, I used a stampendous kitty stamp and colored him with my copic markers. I used some black bazill cardstock and some designer paper, I added the "Just a Note" stamp and some bling bling to the flowers. Enjoy:)

4 More Cards

Hey all - so last night at about 11:30pm, I woke up with a great idea, so when I got home from work, I got right into my craft room and fired up my cricut and start cutting away. Here are 4 more cards that I'm sending to Pat from The Rubber Maid for "Cards4Kids". I want to make sure that I get the Halloween ones off to her in time for Halloween. I made a Frankie card and I threw in a Birthday card too.

I used the "Paper Dolls" cartridge and made the spooky little ghost and spider along with his web on the fence along with the Mummy and the little green thingy. I added some glitter on the moon to give it that extra something .... The mummy is kind of hard to see, but he's really cute!

Well I'm off to go and eat some dinner and head off to bed, hope you enjoyed my creations.

Halloween Cards for "Cards4Kids"

Ok, so here are my first set of cards that I'm sending to Pat for "Cards4Kids", I only made a few Halloween cards so I can get them out to her right away. I used my cute little SU stamps and I used my favorite napkin trick. I bought the napkins and peeled apart the layers until I was able to get the layer with the design on it. I then cut some diamond white cardstock and sprayed it with my vellum spray, placed the napkin on the cardstock and smoothed out the wrinkles and Wa Laa .... you have a napkin card ... Enjoy :)

Whooo Hoooo

Looky what I got in the mail today, Dun da da dun, my blog candy from Curt!

Whoo hoo, I love the ribbon box and the stamps and the brads! Thank you so much Curt, I love it all. I also received a Curt orginal card, isn't it lovely? I love the colors he used, thanks again!

"Cards 4 Kids"

Hello fellow bloggers -
I was reading Curt’s blog this morning and read about “Cards 4 Kids”. This peeked my curiosity so I clicked on the link provided and I found myself on Pat’s blog Rubber Maid. As I read all the info about “Cards 4 Kids” I was thinking about my own family, my cousin Monica passed from cancer and I was thinking how nice this would have been to help brighten up my aunt and uncles day to receive a card as they were losing their oldest daughter and/or for my cousin to be able to pick a card out to give to them.

Pat started “Cards 4 Kids” in her local area in the greater-Detroit area. The cards are for kids whose ages range from very young to upwards in the 20's as some of the older ones are there for cancer etc.

The cards will be used by the caregivers and parents who are staying with their children at the hospital. It's a way we can help these parents lift the spirits of these children who are going through a difficult time.

So if you are interested in helping out to put a smile on the face of someone who’s having a rough day, be sure to visit Pat’s blog for all the information, I have already contacted her and will start working on some cards to send to her.

Pat shared with me that the first card was given to a young man who is a cancer patient and unfortunately his Mom had a stroke and is now in the hospital, he was able to take a card and send it off to his Mom. How awesome is that????

I can’t wait to start making cards for these kids! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit Pats blog Rubber Maid for the specific information. Have a good day.

Monkeying Around

Happy Sunday fellow bloggers, it's been one heck of a weekend, let me tell you, this past week was very draining both at home and at work. My daughter was really sick and work was hectic, thus I had no time to make any cards or scrapbook. I did manage to make a little monkey card and play with my cricut. I'll post the little things I cut out with my machine tomorrow. It's been so hot here, I can't wait for it to start cooling down, I'm SO tired of summer ......so here is my little Monkey card, I used some black/silver cardstock and my prima pencils and some bling bling. I also used some silver ink and stamped the Happy Birthday. The ribbon I used was sent to me by Margie from Oh Bumble Is Me, she's such a sweet lady!

Here's my tagger:Margie from http://ohbumbleismemargie.blogspot.com/

SEVEN THINGS ABOUT ME:

1. I LOVE MY FAMILY: One of the most important things to me is my family, I can’t imagine not seeing or talking to my parents (I talk to them on a daily basis) or hearing them say I love you. Same with my daughter, I would lay down my life for her, she is my heart.

2. I LOVE CHEESE: I put cheese on everything, eggs, potatoes, pasta … yep pretty much anything.
3. I LOVE TO STAY IN BRAND NEW HOTELS: For some reason, I love to stay the night in hotels when they first open, dumb I know, but I like room service.
4. I BELIEVE IN KARMA – what goes around comes around …. I truly believe that, so be kind to everyone
5. I STRONGLY DISLIKE SPICY FOODS: I don’t understand why you would want to intentionally burn your tongue/mouth … I think this stems from when I was younger, my uncle had a chili pepper and told me it was a pickle (which I love) and I took a huge bite and it burned the heck out of my mouth. ** oh bad memories**
6. WHEN I WAS LITTLE I WANTED TO BE A CAN-CAN DANCER!- LOL, it’s funny now, but I remember dreaming of the day that I would be on stage and dancing around …hehehe
7. I WANT TO TRAVEL TO ALL THE MLB BASEBALL STADIUMS – I always wanted to buy an RV and travel to all the MLB stadiums with my Dad, he and I love baseball, I’m an Atlanta Braves/Oakland A’s fan and he’s a San Francisco Giants fan.

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday! this weekend has been very relaxing and boy oh boy did I ever need that, I went to the movies on Friday and saw that movie called "The Women", it was ok, I love Meg Ryan, I think she's so cute, I didn't get much Scrapbooking or Stamping done, but I did manage to make this little card. Oh before I forget, I got a little package in the mail form my good friend Margie from Oh Bumble is Me, she is so sweet. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the items that she sent, I was so excited that I started opening them so I could use them right away. Thanks Margie for the package!
I made this little card and used one of the brads, sentiments and a butterfly sticker that Margie sent me.

Ingredients:

Remembering: September 11th

I just wanted to take a moment to remember those that were lost on that terrible day and honor the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to fight for what they believe in, they willingly chose to risk their lives every day so that we may enjoy the freedoms and privileges here in America!

I was on my way to work when I heard about what was happening, one Mgr brought a TV into work and we were all glued to it, I remember feeling like time was standing still, tears rolling down my face and feeling sick at what I was watching. I could hardly stand it, but for some reason, I had to keep watching. I remember thinking WHY would someone do this?

So let’s all take a moment today and remember not only the fallen Americans, but the Mothers, Fathers, Daughters, Sons, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles that lost someone and have to re-live that terrible day!
