Whoo Hoo, Blog Candy!

Look at the candy blog that I got from Margie at Oh Bumble is Me! I'm so excited! Thanks Margie.
Man oh Man is it ever HOT today, I think it got to 108 a few degrees cooler than yesterday.. hehehe.
It was 110 yesterday and with that kind of weather, everyone is running their AC's, well that caused a "Rolling Blackout" which means that the PG and E (Pacific Gas and Electric) company can turn your electricity off to save energy for up to an hour.
Seeing that it was SOOOO hot and I didn't want to cook, we went to the Olive Garden to use their AC and eat, and what happened? you guessed it, a rolling blackout! so we had to leave.... DOH! I hate the heat! Come on November! I can't wait for the winter.

Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy Cutie

Happy Sunday, it was a hot one today, but we stayed cooled off by swimming. today was kind of a long day, but I packed a ton of things in to the day. Now it's time for bed and i'm so ready, but i thought i would post my little Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy first! he was one of the stamps sets that I purchased from Little C's. I think he's so cute! I used some black, white and red bazill card stock, and my cutie cowboy stamp. I colored him with my copics and used some glitter on his lasso and spurs. I also use my orange glitter pens and ran a few streaks through his blond hair. Hope you like him! See ya next time and thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday, thank goodness it cooled off here, the past week was so hot, it was in the high 90's low 100's ..... I made this card for a friends birthday, I used my brand new Pink Cat Studio stamp which I purchased from Little C's. It's called "Dress Up Lily" you can find the store on Jen's blog which has lots of other great stamps. ** the balloon stamp is from Michaels, it was an image I stamped a while ago and decided to use it. **

I used some orange and blue bazzill card stock and some (retired) happy birthday paper from doodlebug (it's one of my favorite designer papers). I colored her with my copics and added the flower, actually the flower is covering up a boo-boo, thank goodness for embellishments (LOL) I used some glitter around the blue cardstock to give it that extra something. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, because it's back to work Monday in a few short hours - ARG

So did any of you see the Olympics? I've been watching Michael Phelps and stayed up until after midnight watching him making Olympic history! Whoo Hoo, Go USA!

Peaceful Lighthouse

I saw this Great Impressions stamp in my local stamp store and had to have it, i did the best i could to recreate it but also change it up a bit. I tried using a cloud templet but it didn't turn out all that well, my sky looks like a blurry blue mess (hehe) but its all about trial and error.
I used my NEW Shimmerz paint. I used the blue for the water and the lighthouse, then I used my copics for the sand, but then i found some wood shavings and used that as part of the sand. I had some sheer wedding paper that i used and some wild leafy things. Enjoy!
Yikes, I had a toothache all weekend, my dentist office is off on Fridays so I suffered all weekend, so they fit me in this afternoon and it seems that I fracured my tooth, how you ask? by chomping on ice and popcorn .... He sealed it and it fixed it right up, so now it's a wait and see thing, but i'm feeling better already.

Fire Breathing Dragon

Happy Sunday! I was up so late last night watching the Olympics, anyone else following the Olympics? I love the swimming, gymnastics and track and field. So in honor of the Olympics being in China, I made this card with a some what chinese theme, ok so it's not exactly a fire breathing dragon, but I thought he was cute.
I use some Starform stickers and then used my copics and colored it in. I have to say it came out pretty good if I do say so myself! Enjoy :)
