Another Valentines Day Card

Morning Bloggers and Happy Sunday! I was up early went to church and got my praise on with the Lord! I have to say that as I was sitting in church, I felt like the sermon was directed at me. I got so much from it.

The part that got me was when Father Mike said that “When all the world seems to be crashing down at your feet, know that God is with you, he won’t take something without giving back. God takes with one hand, but gives back with the other and it’s usually something better than what you had.” I wanted to jump and scream, AMEN! Hehehehe

So once I got home today, I cleaned the house, finished laundry, made breakfast and now I’m on my way to take Stefani to get her hair done. She goes once a week to have it washed and flat ironed. Her hair is so very naturally curly that I swear that I have carpel tunnel from trying to wash, blow dry and comb her hair. We have been getting her hair done for years now, thank goodness for the salon. I'll have to post a before pic of Stefani and an after, then you will see why I pay someone to do it for me ... hehe

So I did manage to get into my scrapbook room this morning and came up with the following card. I used a $1.00 stamp from Michaels; I embossed the image and used my H20’s to color it in. Hope you enjoy!

V-day Cards

Morning bloggers, Thank goodness it's Friday and I'm so happy! This has been such a long and rough week and i'm ready for the weekend. I been having a terrible time getting up and getting ready for work, it's been cold and rainy here. I like the rain, but it makes me very lazy... hehehe

I've been helping my Mom walk her dogs, she has 3 poms and only one likes to walk on a leash and the other two prefer to be dragged .. hehehee (don't worry, were not really dragging them). We've been walking them for a few weeks now, my dad told my mom that if she can get the dogs to walk on a leash, then he will take all of them on a little vacation, so I have been helping my Momma so she can get her vacation!

Louey is doing good now, last night we were walking and he kept looking up at me as if he was saying "are we done yet?" .... and then there's Lucielle, she's a snob, we took some treats so reward them for doing so good, she took hers from my Mom's hand and the spit it out and turned her back to us ... bawhahahaha she was trying to prove she's the Alpha dog! When we got home she went to her cage and won't come out ... she was pouting!

Anyways, I finally got into my scrapbook room to play a little and made a few cards for Valentines day, i'm so behind, I have treat bags that I need to make for my little great neice's Valentines party for school and I have some birthday cards that need to be made and of course I need to get my card swap cards in the mail. Man time flies..... I can't believe we are at the end of Jan already, enough of me babbling, here is one of the cards I made last night! Enjoy ~

Obama Is Sworn In as the 44th President

Welcome President Obama!

Not sure if any of you got to watch the inauguration, but it was pretty fantastic! Now, I'm not a real political person, but I wasn't going to miss this event! Today was a good day, I'm excited to see and be apart of the change he was talking about.

I think my favorite part of President Obama's speech was when he said: "On this day we gather because we have chosen HOPE over fear."

Early Valentines Day Gift

Looky what my Daddy got me and my daughter for Valentines day .... I'm so excited! we have already put it to use. It has a Tennis racket, Golf Club and a Bat ... Stefani and I were some baseball play`n, tennis slappin, golf swinging fools today ... hehehehe - I got up late, missed church but had to get the day started. I cleaned the back yard, mowed and edged the lawn, did laundry, cleaned the breakfast dishes, did some homework, made my V-day cards for my card swap and took Stefani to get her hair done ... Came home and cooked dinner, washed the car and folded the last it of laundry and here I am .... whew, this ole girl is tired.

Hope you all had a good weekend, I have to go back to work tomorrow to rest ... hehehehe
How is it that I lost about 47 pounds and then gained 7 back and feel like an enormous pig?? Anyways, even though I was so busy today, I managed to walk minutes in the tread mill today too, so maybe I can lose the 7 pounds I gained ... we shall see ... Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Wow I'm so happy it's Friday, the weekend couldn't have gotten here any faster for me. I have so much to do this weekend, I hope that I can get it all in. I have cards to make for Cards for Kids, Sara's Card Swap and I still need to clean the house, so laundry and yard work .... I'll try and get up early tomorrow and get as much done as I can.

Whew, this ole girl is POOPED! it's been a long week, I'm in the process of looking for a new job and it's exhausting and I go back to school on Tuesday, well no rest for the weary I guess!
So I made this card a while ago but never posted it, I'm not to happy with the way it came out, but seeing that I haven't had time this week to "create", I thought what the heck .... I'll post it!
I saw this set of Accessory stamps at my local stamp store and knew that I had to have it!

I colored the shoes, glasses and purse with my copic markers and then used some glitter on them. I had a vision in my head of what I wanted the card to look like, but it didn't translate on paper .... hehehehe how many times have we all done that?? Well it's almost 6pm and I'm going to go and play the Wii with my daughter! Enjoy!

I have to share five obsessions with you and pass it on to other blogs of my choosing, so here goes:

1) I'm obsessed with Dooney & Burke purses, I can't buy a purse without the matching wallet. (QVC is my friend when they go the D&B specials)

2) I loves shoes, I must have about 40 pair of black shoes and about 20 pair of brown shoes and about 15 pairs of other colors (red, pink and white). If I like the shoe in black, I'm probably going to get it in brown too ... hehehehe

3) I love DVD's and going to the movies, I try and go to the moves every Friday or Sat and I love DVD New Release Tuesday.... I must have about 400+ DVD's

4) I love blogging, I may not be that good at updating my blog everyday, but I LOVE looking at everyone elses. Ya'll are a bunch of talented people.

5) I'm a cardstock freak! I can't stop buying card stock, even if I don't need it (which I DON'T) I buy it anyways. I was just in my local scrapbook store and bought $26.00 worth of paper I DIDN'T need .... I need to go to a little program called "Card Stock Anonymous" " and stand up in front of my other card stock people and say "Hi my name is Toni" ..... hehehehe

Birthday Shaker Card

Morning bloggers, it's early Tuesday morning. I made this card last night and was going to post it tonight, but I can't sleep and thought why not post it now?? I made this card for a friend of mine's daughter, she's turning "3".


Last night I was playing the wii with my daughter, we played Marios Karts and the sports games, i'm so sore from all the moving around I was doing. I love that system. We were playing the boxing game and my daughter kicked my tail and knocked me out several times. I woke up this morning and felt like a mac truck ran over me and knocked me around ... hehehehe but it's all in good fun!

So I took my daughter to the movies over the weekend and saw Bride Wars, it was cute, predicable but cute. I love going to the movies, I love movie theater popcorn, so yummy! I can't wait to see the Frost/Nixon movie.... well, its 3am and I’m getting hungry, I think I’ll go and make me some eggs or something and get ready to leave for work.

My Scrapbook Room - What a Mess!

Oh my goodness, I haven't been in my scrapbook room for a week or so as I was sick, this is what I came back too, I forgot that cleaning it was on my to do list .... yikes ...... My poor daughter Stefani, the little table is her puzzle table but somehow I managed to take it over ..hehehe I really need to get in there and clean this room, I have 7 bins of misc things and a closet full of stuff. I really need to get a handle on this and purge (to make room for all the new things I want- hehehe)

I did manage to make this little Valentines day card, I used some heart confedetti in place of gumballs. It didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it too, but it's cute in it's own way enjoy!

Feeling Better

Hello Fellow Bloggers, well I rang in the New Year with a nasty cold and an asthma attack ... not the best way to start off the new year, unless, humm maybe that means that I'll sail through the rest of the year! I spent New Years Eve at Kaiser getting breathing treatments. yuck!

I lost my voice completely and was told by the Dr to NOT talk for at least 2-3 days, yeah right, but he managed to scare me by saying that if I continue to talk, I could damage my vocal cords, so needless to say, I didn't talk for 2-3 days, but now I'm proud to say that my voice is back and I'm talking up a storm.

I haven't really worked on much seeing that the littlest movement makes me tired, but I plan to get into my scraproom and create some Valentine day cards ....
